Coincidentally, this is an excellent way to visualise capital investment plans in transit and we should all be doing this to visualize the sheer volume of need at every agency...
And the sheer volume of unmet need...
toronto has felt like two cities for a long time. a more neglected side was always privy to the full picture. the other is now witnessing what was already there. it is the latter who are sensationalizing conversations about crime right now.
While completing a master of planning @RYSURP,

As always, my advice is for today and other days that require/prompt hashtags to activate/perform action, daily work in your community on the local level and making meaningful transnational bonds that change material realities is where transformative + liberation work is done.
Toronto isn’t Toronto without us. Love, Scarborough.
Today marks the official launch of our #LoveScarborough campaign to shed light on the healthcare inequities in the city of Toronto and raise $100 million dollars for our Scarborough hospitals.
The award-winning Bait Ur Rouf Mosque in Dhaka, Bangladesh designed by Marina Tabassum. The terracotta brickwork allows sunlight and air into the open prayer hall. My favourite feature is the curved opening in the direction of the qibla, replacing a traditional mihrab.

I'm speaking at the DesignTO Symposium to share my ongoing work on #ScarbTO. We need a complex understanding of "suburbs" and communities beyond its formal structures, away from white, affluent, and urban-centric lenses and ideas of "underdeveloped" relative to a central power.
