so I checked in online, came to the airport (Nice), tagged my bag, and then I had to stand in line for an hour to drop my bag. wtf @Fly_Norwegian. how lame are you?
@fatdaddyeddiejr@DrRocketScience @jord4n313 @Ocasio2018 not that you'll listen, but it was in actuality communist nationalism against socialist democracies.
@sawaba@kirkbroadhurst@thefarseeker@paco_a_saco a. indeed (although it's not that hard)
b. that problem you have in either case, no? (also, I've found it's easier to get broken things working in a container, since you can always go back to a bare system)
@sawaba@kirkbroadhurst@thefarseeker@paco_a_saco the point is that it would've been just as easy for you to install the software in a container as opposed to installing on your actual machine. but without any risk of breaking anything else.
@sawaba@paco_a_saco@thefarseeker deps on linux is indeed a dumpster fire, but docker is a game changer. I haven't installed anything on the host for years, and now things never break other things.
