He is a nervous little lad who is still learning to trust his surroundings but with a calm approach & gentle reassurance he slowly starts to show his sweet nature. Having Robyn by his side gives him confidence & comfort as he navigates new experiences

Robyn is a beautiful, black & white, girl. Robyn is a quiet soul who gains confidence from having her brother close by

They are both quite nervous & understandably unsure of the world right now but with calmness, patience & kindness they begin to relax & show their gentle personalities

😺 Basil, the fluffy ginger loves his food, he’s the chattiest of the bunch, and very sweet natured
😺 Dill, the black female is the adventurer of the group, confident and bold, loves a snuggle, usually on your shoulder
😺 Cinnamon, the tortie and white loves to play with her siblings. Her favourite game is hide and pounce!
😺 Nutmeg, the full tortie loves to play tug of war with her siblings.
😺 Clove, the smaller black female, may be petite but she has a huge personality. She’s a sweet little kitten who loves chasing toys and will always have a purr to greet you
😺 Chive the black and white male is very entertaining, he is always playing and exploring, and is the first out of the bunch to snuggle up when playtime is over
😺 Rosemary, the fluffy black and white girl is a confident and happy kitten….her favourite things are cardboard boxes and cuddles

@chalkey1973 @MattyBeer Reported as fraud. Bank would not revoke transfer. Finally found and taken to court. Avoided jail sentence but fined and required to pay me back approx. 30% of what I paid out …. Still waiting to receive something. And I was one of 4 or 5 ‘customers’ scammed by him 😡

@chalkey1973 @MattyBeer Four years ago I had a tradesman round to price up some garden landscaping work. We agreed a price, he provided me with an invoice, and I transferred a large deposit. Guess what? Never saw him again. Invoice wasn’t worth paper it was written on. Not known at address …1/2

@Eman5695 Yes, I have. But heartbreakingly got to the point where treatment was no longer effective and I had to say good bye to Tux three weeks ago - he was 12 years old. The pain of losing him is unbearable - if money could bring him back I would do it 😿 🌈

Why do we give older people drugs that make their mental functioning worse?

Ms Davies, 80, came in with pneumonia. Within a day she was lethargic, not eating, barely responding. The team put it down to the infection. The term 'delirium' was never mentioned.

But somebody had also started her on a benzodiazepine overnight for "mild anxiety."

Nobody connected the two.

On the ward round I noticed her responsiveness kept shifting - partly alert one moment, not responding the next. Both the drowsiness and the fluctuation suggested delirium. Screening test positive.

We stopped the benzodiazepine, and continued the treatment for the pneumonia with antibiotics, fluids, and oxygen.

The next day she later she was sitting up in her chair eating. She was able to participate in physiotherapy.

The lesson here isn't complicated. If you start a sedative in an older person and they get more confused, stop the sedative. Don't add another drug on top. Check your prescribing before you check anything else.
