@PatsSoxFreedom@will_m1399 Vermont is tiny compared to CA.
It takes us a week or more to count, recount, verify, and certify.
Calm TF down. It’s not fraud.
You’ve been misled by rage bait.
@will_m1399 They could run everything through a scantron in about an hour BUT it’s the verification and fraud prevention stuff that takes so long. Cross voters signatures.
Election night numbers are for the news.
Verification always takes time.
It’s the exact opposite of fraud.
@Dale_Chu@MichaelPetrilli@PostOpinions Further, the Unions should shut up about politics because clickbait edgelords keep misrepresenting everything they say.
I’ve been a union rep for years and negotiated contracts several times. I’m tired of people like Randi Weingarten.
@Dale_Chu@MichaelPetrilli@PostOpinions Teachers unions exist to make sure that administration follows the signed contract between teachers and the district.
While they may express an opinion on things, they shouldn’t be considered anything more than advocates for teachers who are unfairly treated.
@LeighWolf I can see two possibilities that might be behind this:
1) Is your drivers license still from California? That might be why you keep getting these.
2) Are you registered to vote in another state?
@MinorityView@FloppingAces Larger states use many of the same safeguards and fraud protection measures, it's just that larger populations make that checking process slower. People see "Fl done in 4 hours" on Internet, but don't want to know that checking takes three weeks bc clicks and outrage.
@MinorityView@FloppingAces It's secure.
We're a small state. It's easy for my town clerk (3000 voters) to check names when the ballot is handed out and count the 900 or so completed ones in an hour or so. Motor-voter registration bc birth cert is required when you get your first license.
@Fly_Sistah@RachelTrue Also, they know that we could run them all through scantrons in an hour, but they conveniently ignore checking that signatures match, addresses match, etc. takes much longer.
Early results are for the news media.
Final count takes much longer to prevent fraud.
@PounderJane1@DrNeilStone Yeah!
There was this guy who died horribly within 3 hours of getting the vaccine ... he got hit by a train.
In early days ~3% of positive COVIDs died.
Early vaccine ~85% effective. The others got COVID DESPITE the vaccine, not because of it.
IANA M.D.
YMMV
@MurbsSox@tgrierhisd@offgridteacher Right, a multimillion (or billion) dollar operation with no paperwork, oversight, or office staff that's dealing with thousands of students and teachers, and working with reams of regulatory paperwork.
That'll work.
@TerryTheDude73 They could run everything through a scantron in an hour. Making sure all the ballots are legit, signed with a matching signature, etc …. THAT takes time. You know - making sure there’s no fraud.
The initial count is for the news.
The real count always takes more time.
@KelleyKga@DavidPittelli1 There are also students whose parents paid a lot of money to educational consultants who:
Wrote their essay and application
Arranged for a water polo team placement.
Met with Admissions and Capital Campaign staff.
Etc
They’re not on scholarship, they’re on a fathership.
@tetheredtoed1@CNN@CNNOpinion Closed loop is better than evaporative systems, to be sure, but it’s not zero-loss. Utah is not blessed with a lot of water to begin with, and 30% of a lot might be too much. And thats “reduce by UP TO 70%”
These screenshots are from Florida https://t.co/jh6FdtoHDQ.
1) #DataCenter proposed by OLeary in Utah is 40,000 acres in size. That’s 62.5 square miles. I don’t think people quite understand that.
2) This is Utah. Where’s that water coming from? Even if it’s recycled, there will be massive evaporation problems.
