I'm making a conscious effort this year to wean myself off Twitter. You will still be able to find me in some other places.

@Nick_Pettigrew Had a bit of luck lately with the aurora but overall I think it's this one. Not the recent comet but the last big one in 2020.

@PixsyHQ Hi, just a heads up that Instagram syncing isn't working at the moment. If this is a known issue and there's an expected fix on the way please let me know (to save uploading my inventory manually)
As it's November 5th, here's a throwback to one of my best fireworks photos🎆
This is Kumano fireworks festival in Japan, photographed this summer aboard the Diamond Princess ship
This is not AI or Photoshop - this is a single 5-second exposure during the crescendo of the show!
A photograph from the famous aurora display of October 10-11 2024.
This is captured at Pentre Ifan, a neolithic burial chamber that is believed to have stood on this site for over 5,000 years.
#northernlights#auroraborealis#thephotohour
The old church at Mwnt is one of my favourite places for night sky photography and when I saw that amazing northern lights forecast last week I knew I had to head to the Ceredigion coast to try to capture it.

Soon we’ll be launching a change to how the block function works.
If your posts are set to public, accounts you have blocked will be able to view them, but they will not be able to engage (like, reply, repost, etc.).
Though I spent most of Thursday night in Ceredigion, I made a pit stop in Carmarthen, to see if the #northernlights were visible.
It's a challenging photo due to light pollution and fog rolling in over the Tywi river, but on camera, a faint green #aurora was still visible.
