Anyone can now experience generative AI for 3D character animation by
1. Uploading any rigged character (regardless of skeleton)
2. Prompting with text or video OR searching a library of 10,000 motions
3. Editing in a web application and downloading in FBX or GLB

This is a first step toward Uthana's vision to power real-time, novel motion in response to narration, environment, and character intent.

I worked on an early, very different iteration of the @unity pricing changes ~1 yr ago
My thoughts:
1. Unity strategically had no choice but to make changes
2. Devs are upset, but it isn't quite as bad as it seems
3. Unity's comms & implementation wasn't great

This is legit the kind of math I'm doing too. I've learned that Unity's fee won't be retroactive which is delightful, but also Among Us gets enough dls per month that I could just hire two whole people to port AU away from Unity instead of them taxing us for 0 added value.
Unity game engine now charging a fee per install starting 01/24. https://t.co/vAYwFzpaFd Risky move by Unity. Short term profit yes, but long term? Any new project that was considering another engine just made their choice. Unreal and other engines should have a party today.
