Update from today's #Kuki Militants attack on #Meitei villages in
Sanasabi and Thamnapokpi in #Manipur's Imphal East district.
1. At least 2 persons including a policeman injured.
2. Kuki Militants launched gun-and-bomb attacks in ~10:45 AM onwards.
3. Security forces retaliated, leading to a fierce encounter.
4. Injured: Policeman 37-year-old K Haridash, bullet injuries on left shoulder and a village volunteer.
5. Security forces rescued several women, children and elderly people caught in the crossfire.
6. Confrontation between Manipur Police and Army for allegedly blocking reinforcements.

The reason why peace continues to evade Manipur are these bloodthirsty Kuki narco terrorists going on a rampage with the sole intent to wreak havoc and unleash a reign of terror in the state until their demand for Kukiland is achieved.

This is not an ethnic conflict. It is an act of war against the Indian state and the Indian Government. This is an act of terrorism upon the Indian citizens and the civilian population.

The face of the aggressors, their behaviour and their weapons reveal their true barbaric nature and violent intent against the Hindu-Meiteis. Before the situation runs out of control, the Central Government must use unrestrained authority and power to crush these insects.
