26 Ağustos 1978'de seçildikten tam 33 gün sonra 65 yaşında aniden vefat eden Papa I. Jean Paul, modern tarihin en gizemli ölümlerinden biri idi.

Vatikan’ın resmi açıklamasına göre ölüm nedeni kalp krizi olsa da, otopsi yapılmaması ve çelişkili ifadeler çok sayıda suikast teorisini de beraberinde getirmişti.

Bunlardan biri, Katolik Kilisesi kanunlarına göre bi Katoliğin Mason locasına üye olması kesinlikle yasaktı ve aforoz sebebiydi.
Papa I. Jean Paul, Vatikan'ın üst düzey bürokratları ve kardinalleri arasında İtalya'daki P2 Mason Locası'na üye olan isimlerin listesine ulaştığı ve bu isimleri Kilise'den tamamen temizleme kararı alması üzerine, deşifre olmak istemeyen içerideki güçlü Masonik yapı tarafından öldürüldüğü iddiasıydı.

Bir diğeri, Papa, Vatikan Bankası'nın Sicilya Mafyası ile bağlantılı kirli işlerini, kara para aklama faaliyetlerini fark etmiş ve Bankanın başındaki Başpiskopos Paul Marcinkus başta olmak üzere Banco Ambrosiano’nun yöneticisi Roberto Calvi ve mafya bağlantılı banker Michele Sindona gibi isimleri görevden almaya hazırlandığı iddiası üzerine bu karanlık finans yapısı tarafından zehirlenerek ortadan kaldırıldığı idi.

Bi başka iddia da soğuk savaş döneminin zirve yaptığı bu yıllarda Papa’nın Vatikan'ın küresel gelenekçi,sert ve anti-komünist çizgisinden uzaklaşarak daha sol eğilimli bi dünya görüşünü benimsemesi ve komünist blokla diyalog kurmaya sıcak bakan tavrı sonrası hem Kilise içindeki muhafazakarları hem de Batı dünyasındaki bazı istihbarat servislerini rahatsız ettiği üzere küresel dengeleri bozmasından korkulduğu için suikasta kurban gittiği idi.

Bütün iddialara mukabil I.Jean Paul’ün 33 günlük kısa süren Papalığının ardından, Ekim 1978'de Polonyalı Kardinal Karol Wojtyla yeni Papa seçildi ve halefine saygısını göstermek için II. Jean Paul adını aldı.
455 yıl aradan sonra İtalyan olmayan ilk Papa unvanını taşıyan II. Jean Paul, Ağca’nın 1981’de suikast düzenlediği Papa idi ve Komünizmin çöküşünde önemli bi rol oynadı.

Me: Okay, quick question then. Can I say the Shahada without mentioning Muhammad?

Him: No.

Me: Exactly. If Islam is purely for Allah with no partners, why is Muhammad glued to the very sentence that makes someone a Muslim? That’s one of my problems with the whole thing.

Him: Well, I can’t convince you. Allah has hardened your heart.

Me: Of course he has. And he better not try to soften it either. 😂

Yumbe Regional Referral Hospital has only 235 of its approved 1,246 workers, leaving 1,011 positions vacant.

PAC heard that the hospital has no operational ICU, CT scanner or blood bank, while some specialised equipment remains unused because the required personnel are unavailable.

Upgraded in 2021, the hospital serves a catchment population exceeding two million people, including refugees in Bidi Bidi.
