@GarethWild@WHS_Carpet I love this sort of thing. I have logged all my 883 fights and mapped all the airports, hotels and sports arenas I have visited. Not sure why but it could come in handy if I ever needed to prove to the police where I was...
@hemadera TV rights are worth very different amounts in different countries. You could charge $200 in Western Europe for a World Cup TV pass but not in Africa. The marketing costs to acquire enough subscribers for 1 event every 4 years would be insane.
@_itsinthegame_@IantheGrumpy@BBCNewsPR@bbcquestiontime I agree that the BBC should be representative, but coverage has to be earned, not by winning a few council seats 200 miles away from Makerfield. If it was a Great Yarmouth by-election then of course things might be different. Fact is that there was a only a QT because of Burnham
@_itsinthegame_@IantheGrumpy@BBCNewsPR@bbcquestiontime I don't remember telling you who I voted for last time. But surely you believe that other small parties like Your Party and Rejoin EU should have the same profile on TV as Restore? Politics are different sure but that shouldn't matter to a democrat like you should it?
@IantheGrumpy@_itsinthegame_@BBCNewsPR@bbcquestiontime Why are you so obsessed by getting coverage on the BBC then if you don't watch it and hate it so much?
Knew that mention of Rejoin would hit the mark π―
Enjoy your weekend, I will.
@IantheGrumpy@_itsinthegame_@BBCNewsPR@bbcquestiontime The other guy was telling me bookies' odds should be the criteria for appearing on QT!
New parties need to establish themselves & earn the right to get high profile media slots (as Reform/Greens have done) though actual votes and national polling over an extended period of time.
@IantheGrumpy@_itsinthegame_@BBCNewsPR@bbcquestiontime Think you are getting me mixed up with someone else, I never mentioned Gt Yarmouth. I do wonder a party that only stood for 10 seats in the local elections a month ago, warrants a platform on national TV. But I guess you just prefer to hide behind a fake name & throw insults.
@AlexComber_ Bigger issue is the fact that rights are worth hugely different amounts in each territory. Β£10 a month per user in the UK will not generate anything like what Sky and TNT currently pay. For a lot of countries, this is a stalking horse to keep competitive tension.
@_itsinthegame_@IantheGrumpy@BBCNewsPR@bbcquestiontime Exactly, if they were that committed to the area they would have stood. Iβm entitled to my opinions just as much as you are, but maybe Restore just donβt want people engaged and would prefer them to keep to football?
