Point being, it's very easy to come up with many and varied examples on how such data might be useful either in isolation or combination with other factors (such as children, which is another q)

These in isolation have no strong bearing on much, but there's no point allocating funds for aged care in a high growth migrant suburb when they need kindergartens. It's the same deal with other services like those above.

@Laidback_au @6NewsAU Same as any other grouping of people (language, migration status, etc). Provision of government services unique to that group. If you're part of the majority, then your sexual preference / language skills / lack of disability / whiteness / whatever isn't a big deal.

@WhiteSpear86 I've used the Google mesh units before and found them to be pretty reliable. Deactivate the wifi on your router and plug your first one in there. Another one or two (the app will help you with placement) should give you whole house coverage.
