@zergneb The Bush family never endorsed him. Ironically, the majority of Trump's 2024 team worked for Bush/McCain/Ryan. Trump hired Karl Rove as an Advisor in 2020, and his 2 Senior Advisors were confidant of the Bush family. GOPe RINO's (Graham, Scott, etc) endorsed Trump in the Primary.

@DaleKingston3 @BonkDaCarnivore DeSantis likely would've done better than Trump. He had nowhere near the baggage and was nowhere near as toxic as Trump is with suburban women and Independents. Not to mention, he's much smarter and far more articulate.

In each election, Trump underperformed several down-ballot Republicans in suburban counties/districts who were more pro-life than he was. DeSantis simply did what the purpose of overturning Roe was - a state issue, not a national issue.
