The problem is right there: highly skilled people can be used remotely. But you can't clean bathrooms, mow the lawns, plant trees, etc. with remote workers & rich countries are now structurally addicted to cheap unskilled labor.
Structurally? Size of houses, yards, etc.
either you find a way to have planned obsolescence of your product or you die for having made a product too good that lasts too long so no one has to buy a new one

Unexpected events happening should be an argument against living in a simulation. Inexplicable walls/laws of nature would be much more convincing arguments for simulation.
