@RBC I understand what the format *is* - I am saying the format is terrible. We used to call to give a heads up that we were travelling in case of this happening, but we are now told not to do that. But here I am on another trip in a country that is virtually cashless w/ no Visa cards

@RBC An hour wait time when I’m on roaming and out of country is absolutely insane. Why not have the fraud department contact a customer to verify purchases rather than automatically shutting down the cards entirely then making us wait like this?!

@bchydro Clearly there is an infrastructure issue in our neighbourhood as the power goes out every time there is the slightest bit of wind.

We’ll be the only area in a large radius without power. Rather than just a bandaid solution, something needs to be addressed.

Hey @bchydro! This is approx the 15th power outage we’ve had in West Van in the last few months (2 tonight so far) w/ weather not being that severe overall (been here 8 years now).

Maybe it’s time to bury some power lines or make some upgrades because this is getting ridiculous.

@bchydro There were numerous people in the impacted area who hadn’t been contacted as of that time I tweeted yesterday, plus given the number of business impacted, it would probably be a good idea to keep this info more public. Maybe an outage map posted on Twitter?
