@1888James@richarddeitsch@TaylorTwellman Ohhhh kayyyy. FIFA had hydration breaks in 2022. FIFA saw $$$ opportunity to use the time for ads the next time, so they took it. Not saying I like it, but it's a global audience and would have been global audience no matter where the games were being played.
@1888James@richarddeitsch@TaylorTwellman It's FIFA making the decision for ad $, doesn't have anything to do with the US, this would have been done no matter where it was being played
@thejivy@Alexand51765203@TheRyenRussillo@DraftKings Twellman's point is you can't just say any great athlete would be a great soccer player. LBJ would be too big, etc. In another podcast he named several guys he did think could have been great @ soccer, like Allen Iverson, Chris Paul, Barry Sanders, it's the shifty quick feet, etc
@BrandonG56993@EstesPga When they were saying it was +4 it was the "projected" cut, but for several hours they were saying that even though +4 was T65, and only Top 60 and ties make it. They were assuming several guys would make bogeys and bring more guys in. But at the time Top 60 only went to +3.
@JEdelmayer@GolfChannel@grok In 2004 at Shinnecock 7th green on Sunday got so unplayable if you were putting from above the hole it was either going in the hole or off the green, you couldn't stop it. Grounds crew had to water the green between groups on Sunday to keep it playable. https://t.co/AII19gs6Xo
@RasmusJarlov@F1torobravo There are not commercial breaks in MLS, which calls it soccer. Yes I know there will be in the World Cup, which is a bummer, but FIFA decided that so it would have been the case no matter what the host country called it.
@RasmusJarlov That comes off as pompous and pretentious. Also, the Brits invented the term soccer. It's the same sport with the same rules. How about let's just all celebrate the game we love?
@ghill37g@Herbzimmerman2@thwacknicklaus Right, yeah I get that, & I've seen those arguments, for sure dude would get whooped esp over 4 days. I wasn't familiar w/ Thwack Nicklaus though, so I didn't know if he was being serious or if saying obnoxious stuff like that was just his brand of humor haha
@HarryTaormina@AntiLeftMemes Point is that if they're requiring you to be available (as in the employee doesn't have the option to say "no I can't today I have plans") to cover a shift they have to pay you for being on call.
@deepcutgolf Think it depends on the full balance of his game. Yeah distance 100% matters, but so does touch, consistency, distance *control, wedge play. If he's a +4 he could compete. Scratch to +2? Get outta town, idc if he hits it 320 if he's still just scratch, other parts of his game lag
@SmallGov4All@megbasham How is 2 children in 16 years not replacement level? 2 people producing 2 children, is kinda the definition of replacement level
@NickJFreitas As an engineer, fellow Christian and conservative, Nick you're being ridiculous. She's clearly being figurative. When you say "this box weighs a ton" you don't literally mean 2000lbs. It's a way of saying "this box is heavy"
Her saying 14% is a way of saying "the number went up"
@obi1classic@NickJFreitas I think she was very clearly having fun and not being specific. Like when you say "I've got a million things to do today", you don't mean literally a million. It's just a figurative way of "I'm busy". Same here the 14% is just a figurative way to say "the number went up"
