So the US could make deals with China but Canada couldn’t(ex:canola vs EV) and on top of that, we would no longer be able to make deal with free market economies like UK, EU, etc without US approval

@RHFontaine Your statements are ridiculous. There is actually a free trade deal. It’s called USMCA. US is not respecting it. Sectoral tariffs are covered by side letters in the USMCA and thus, tariffs on auto, steel, etc are illegals. As for China, the US trade more with it than Canada !!!
