@harrisonfinberg Frankford needs parking meters like EPA. People really overrate the difficulty of parking around Passyunk. It's really not that bad if you have a permit.
@pornbotbios@harrisonfinberg You don't need a rental license for commercial properties so not sure how South St is relevant? I don't see how it can be legal to prevent a private property owner to sell their property to whoever they want.
@JohnnyWalsh__ Likely true. We bought in 2015 and looked at 3 stories but didn't see much in the location we wanted(2ish blocks to EPA) & with a wide layout. Ended up in a 2 story with a fully finished basement that's a true 16ft wide interior. Some of these 3 stories are so narrow and shallow.
@coryfromphilly@jongeeting@Gene_PHL Often sales with numbers like this are divorces where one party buys out the others equity etc. Sometimes it's biz partnerships dissolutions.
@DPearsonPHL Last gasps stretched into even the 2010s. I had a client rent an apartment from Anthony Nicodemo a month before he did the hit in 2012. They were calling me like I think our landlord is going to prison...
@elbus69 It's easily walkable from South Philly, or a very quick subway ride from CC, 8-12 mins depending if express or not. There is lots of parking but it's in the city walkable to neighborhoods. It's not like it's in Foxborough or Arlington.
@dmc7z@PhiladelphiaGov It works fine on my block in e passyunk. 2nd day pick up is usually super early in the am and everyone knows when to not put it out due to holiday.
@jongeeting@KGsmindgrapes There was a decent proposal for this lot from like Atrium or Canno but then the lot was sold to I believe a south philly cardiologist and crickets since.
@dmc7z@jongeeting For the 1100 Wharton project all permits and zoning changes have been in place since 2022. Alterra is just dragging their feet and at this point selecting a different developer would make sense if the project is to move forward.
