My latest from the great (and my friend) @TFL1728 We discussed the yen carry trade, U.S. Treasury strategy, European capital flows, and the financial forces behind geopolitical conflict. Luongo lays out his thesis on why Europe may be a major beneficiary of yen-funded leverage and explains how Japanese government bonds, the euro-yen cross, and central-bank policy could pressure global markets. https://t.co/QMvp9jeYVU

Because white college educated liberals are the ones who gleefully carry water for anti-American Dem. candidates who pal around with jag-offs like Hasan Piker and go, "Erm akshually he's just an anti-monopolist! Akshually he's not even a DSA member! Akshually he's just populist!"
NOW - Vice-Chair of Trumps Fraud taskforce says Government programs created almost 100 years ago were designed for the "America that we were," a "high-trust society," where people played by the rules, which is no longer the case.
I said goodbye to an American family at eight o'clock.
I left at 9:40.
Nothing went wrong. Nobody stopped me. I stood up, I said thank you, and then a ritual began, and I did not know it was a ritual until I was already inside it.
The first goodbye happens sitting down. This one is false. You say "well" and then you do not move. I moved. That was my first error.
The second goodbye happens standing. There is new conversation here. Better conversation. The finest stories of the entire evening are told after everyone has agreed to leave.
They save their best material for the retreat. This is a nation that fights hardest on the way out the door.
The third goodbye happens at the door. The door is open. Cold air is entering the house and nobody acknowledges the cold air. A woman named Deb told me about her sister's kitchen for eleven minutes with a screen door tapping against her shoulder the entire time.
Then the porch. Then the driveway.
At the driveway the husband got involved. He had barely spoken at dinner. In the driveway he became a different man entirely and told me about a tree.
I don't remember anything about the tree. I remember that he was happy.
Then leftovers arrived. At the car. Which means someone went back inside and made a plate while I stood in the dark, and nobody asked that person to do it.
Nobody ordered that. The supply train left on its own.
I got in the car. I believed I had won. My window was down because it was warm out. That was my final error.
Deb remembered one more thing.
Here is what I have learned since. You do not say goodbye. You say "I should get going," which starts a clock nobody looks at. Then, some time later, the host says "well, I'll let you go."
That is the permission. Only the host can grant it. I had been trying to leave without it, like a man walking out of a castle without being dismissed.
I now announce that I should get going one hour before I intend to get going.
An American friend confirmed this is correct procedure.
He also told me his grandmother once said "I'll let you go" and then talked for twenty more minutes, and he wanted me to understand that this is not a failure of the system.
That is the system.
Spot on 👇
Sec Bessent is saying what most of Wall Street already knows but won’t admit: the era of Fed whisperers masquerading as analysts has hollowed out real market thinking.
For years, asset prices weren’t driven by fundamentals, they were driven by interpretation of carefully leaked signals, trial balloons, and selective “guidance” fed to a handful of well-connected reporters. That isn’t price discovery; it’s narrative management.
When journalists become conduits for policy hints instead of interrogators of policy outcomes, markets stop analyzing and start front-running. Wall St stopped doing objective research, and relied on the Fed to spoon feed them. Wall St thus, never questioned the Keynesian dogma. Wall St became a lapdog for the Fed.
The result is a generation of participants trained to decode tone shifts rather than evaluate capital allocation, productivity, or inflation dynamics.
If the Warsh Fed is forcing that ecosystem to operate without a script, the discomfort you’re seeing isn’t dysfunction, it’s withdrawal.
Markets that can’t function without being spoon-fed aren’t efficient. They’re dependent. A new era has begun and some of the cool kids on Wall St are upset. Let them!
One of the highlights of the Warsh Fed has been watching stenographers posing as journalists, like the WSJ’s Nick Timiraos, reduced to reporting Fed backroom gossip because they’re incapable of performing real economic or monetary policy analysis without being spoon-fed.
@BowTiedBroke I used to follow a lot of small multifamily rental content and after COVID everyone shoved their way into STR content and none of it made any sense on its face 🤦♂️
SOFR Futures far less mispriced than last week. US Dollar liquidity fears much lower as Bessent's Yen-tervention opened up the dollar floodgates.
Last week Dec-2026 SOFR hit a high of 4.15%, now 4.03% and falling.
It’s very hard for childless people to understand this, but when you have kids, your primary worry becomes “How can I lower the chances of my child having a completely avoidable death?” You lock up your guns, you child proof your house, you put a gate around the pool, you pay for expensive swim lessons, you teach them not to play in the street, etc. and these worries bump right up against a group of people who believe it’s their god given right to own an animal that imposes the risk of an avoidable death on your children everywhere it goes. These people also believe it’s their god given right to bring this animal everywhere.
It’s amazing how much of a 180 I’ve done on dogs. In my early 20s I was all into no-kill shelters and “oh no the poor doggos.” I would have defended the “rehabilitation” of the most f’ed-in-the-head animal.
Now at nearly 40 after having kids it’s like, yeah just euthanize the dogs. What are we even doing here. People donate good money to this?
I get so tired of explaining lethality to retarded people. No, there's no good data to prove pit types bite the most. In fact, from personal experience, I know of several breeds that are much more aggressive and prone to unprovoked attacks. Akitas, Chihuahuas, Shih tzus, Chow Chows, Shar Peis (over bred lunatic psuedo-pit trash dogs), and Siberian Huskies. Oh, and Jack Russel terriers. Absolute little pricks.
I own two these breeds myself.
The problem with pit types is they are huge fighting dogs. Literally bred to kill things. It's why their heads look like sledge hammers with teeth. Next time you see a pit grin at you, look in its mouth from straight on. Look at the wide set jaw muscles running through its cheeks. They're enormous. That's for crushing your bones and neck.
I've seen pitbulls crush and eat entire beef and venison leg bones in well under five minutes, like it's nothing.
When pitbulls do bite or attack, they are much more likely to do catastrophic damage quickly and much less likely to be dissuaded or diverted. When they get in the zone for a kill they have tunnel vision and shrug off pain. That's by design. That's why they exist. This is why they account for something like 3/4s of fatal dog attacks. It's not merely the frequency of attacks, it's the lethality of those attacks.
If a Jack Russel terrier attacks you it's, "Hey, your fucking dog bit me." If a pitbull attacks you, it turns your face into hamburger.
Only the largest mastiff breeds like Cane Corso are equally or more dangerous, but they're much, much more rare because they're huge, difficult, and expensive animals. Any dipshit can throw a mystery pitbull from the pound in their yard, because they're free, plentiful, and low maintenance, right up until they rip your kid's arms off.
Even Rottweilers, which are literally bred from archaic war breeds, are not as dangerous, because they don't have the widespread dispositional and mental heath problems associated with over breeding, like pits types do. They are more stable, trainable, and take guidance much better, and are not prone to the same unprovoked "sorry mom, I murdered your Dachshund/grandma/toddler" type events that owners "never saw coming" like pits are infamous for.
Pitbulls are a menace and they have no reason to exist. They are a superfluous relic of a time when we designed dogs to fight each other and large game for sport. They're not top end guard dogs, they're not working dogs, they're not good service animals, they're not among the friendliest or most social breeds, and they're not hunting or bird dogs. There is nothing a pit type does that a different breed or mutt doesn't do better. They just eat and shit and sleep and give you big goofy smiles, which is why unserious dog owners like them so much.
If you want something that will just lay around your house and eat and shit and smile at you, get a Golden Retriver. Rescue some little mutt. Get married.
Pitbulls suck and almost ever person I know who owns a pitbull sucks.
💯 MLB gave Los Angeles a carve out to keep all their TV money and then everyone made dumb trades with them for years so they have a bulletproof case for a salary cap. I assume the #Dodgers are in on it too, their payoff being a bunch of World Series trophies if they'd spend
That is the plan
The owners are colluding for the Dodgers to do this so the public sides with them during the labor stoppage.
Every other work stoppage the fans backed the players. This one the fans will back the owners because the fans now want a salary cap. They did this all be design.

@Kevin_Swiontek@scottpadek@AdamMcCalvy Just look at what the CC Sabathia trade did for the #Brewers org. it's incomparable to have that ace/stopper every 4th or 5th day and 2-3 starts per playoff series.
💯 x out of 💯 x If that offer wasn't made by the #Brewers and turned down by the #Tigers, it's criminal negligence by the Milwaukee front office. #TradeDeadline#Dodgers
I asked about a relative comp to the package the Dodgers gave up for three months of Skubal and heard this in response: Logan Henderson, Luis Peña and Bishop Letson or Josh Knoth.
Would you have done it?

🤣 LMAO! Q: If you got 1 full week off and nobody had access to you, what would you do?
