"International partners must collaborate to mitigate harmful microplastic pollution in polar regions," write the authors of a new #LetterToScience. https://t.co/xfMkn79Bni
Weâre touched by concerns raised on SM by some about why the child was with the officer.
Sonapur PS, like many Police Stations in Assam, has a dedicated space for children, which exists precisely for such moments.
On that day n moment, the child simply chose what children always choose, the comfort of being close to their mother.
APHQ, btw also has a full-fleged crèche.
There is no shortage of diesel and petrol in the market.
This has also been clarified by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in a media interaction yesterday.

In Assam, the situation is even more comfortable, as the combined production from all four refineries in the State (Numaligarh, Noonmati, Digboi and Bongaigaon) significantly exceeds local demand. There are no anticipated bottlenecks in the supply chain, including the movement of fuel from refineries to retail outlets.
Consumers are requested to refrain from panic buying, as it can create artificial and temporary shortages at certain outlets due to demand exceeding usual requirements, leading to a cascading effect on the supply chain.
A joint team of senior officers from the Food & Civil Supplies Department, IOCL (State Level Coordinator), and DC Metro will brief the media today at 3 PM at the DC Office (Metro) to provide further details.
We request everyoneâs cooperation in ensuring a smooth and stable fuel supply.

Petrol (MS) = 168 thousand metric tonnes

Petrol (MS) = 63 thousand metric tonnes
Diesel (HSD) = 92 thousand metric tonnes

We may have little or no control over what happens to us externally.
But we have immense control over how we process it internally.
By changing the way we thinkâĻ
By changing the way we speak to ourselvesâĻ
We may not be able to command circumstances,
but we can command our conversations within.
And it is these inner conversations
that shape our perspective.
When our self-talk is steady,
our response becomes steady.
When our inner voice is wise,
our outer actions carry dignity.
External situations may not always be in our hands.
But the meaning we give them always is.
It is not what happens to us,
but what we repeatedly tell ourselves about what happens,
that determines whether we crumble or grow.
Reflect: What is one sentence you need to stop telling yourself today?
