@mattie_dukes17 My favorite reason is communicate better, collaborate more. It is crazy to me to think about a world where people were not just a phone call away. However, I think that a downfall of this is that we take in-person interactions for granted.
@littleWanic I feel pretty neutral about it. There are obviously a lot of pros and cons. However, overall I would say I think it is beneficial. Nobody can imagine the world without technology today, and in the future I think that will only increase.
@OrgCommChat I would say that one strength of mine is that I am very open minded. I respect everyone's opinions and am always willing to hear other sides. Also, I understand that everyone's differences are what makes us unique in who we are, which I believe is important.
@oster_oster I would say that past leaders in my life have created a clear meaning and purpose as well as practiced openness and transparency. Doing so, this made me feel like we were really a team and they were someone I could trust. I think that these two especially are very important.
@kuhl_molly I think that loyalty as well as participative leadership are vitally important. Without loyalty, bosses cannot trust their employees and vice versa. Participative leadership fosters a respectful environment in which everyone is heard.
@OrgCommChat I think mine would be humor! My humor is generally the first thing that people get to know about me, so it is definitely my defining quality!

As we have discussed in this chapter, one of brands and companies main goals is to set themselves apart and stand out as unique from other competing brands and companies. There are many methods of doing so, but this article...
@ally_rabbitt I agree! I think trust and consistency go hand in hand. If a company is consistent with their products, consumers will trust them in the future.
@OrgCommChat I want to be a lawyer -- women are 37.4% and men are 62.6%. This is definitely a significant amount more of men than women. I think that this is because a lawyer is a job in which you have to be very stern, serious, and take control of matters, things often associated with men.
@GraceGraubart@OrgCommChat Rather than a movie that gives an example of a glass ceiling, one that gives an example of that being shattered is Wonder Woman. I think that this movie and other female-dominant television that has been produced lately shows that hopefully in the future this won't be an issue.
@Cpetlansky@OrgCommChat I think that blind screenings are an excellent method that people should start using to abandon glass ceiling tendencies. If people were to not provide their gender or race on job applications, it would be impossible for bias to be involved in the job hiring process.
@OrgCommChat My favorite movie is While You Were Sleeping, an old movie starring Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman! Although it sounds like a scary movie from the title, it is an adorable rom com that I could watch a million times.
@Cpetlansky@OrgCommChat although cognitive culture is important when it comes to sharing the same ideals, emotional culture provides an environment where people respect each other and their feelings on a day to day basis.
@Cpetlansky@OrgCommChat My favorite example was the button idea. I think that having the sad button and other negative emotions available to press each day gives off the idea that it is okay to show up to work and not be in the greatest mood. I think that emotional culture is more important because...
@xitlaaalic I used to work with kids, and even if I was exhausted I would have to use emotional labor to act happy and energetic. I think that there is definitely a societal pressure because we feel as though if we do not act happy we run the risk of losing our jobs.
@KatherineBruck9@OrgCommChat I think that improving employee's human capital of course benefits Amazon as a whole, because it makes their company more efficient and could help them to have to hire and therefore pay less people. This also benefits customers, so that their purchases are a smoother process.
@JanysekHailey @OrgCommChat I believe that, especially for an organization like the New York Times, where many people receive their information from, it is vitally important for diversity. This is because it is important to have as many perspectives as possible telling our stories to us.
