“Allah” means “God” in Arabic. Yes. We’ve established vocabulary. Now let’s discuss theology.

I keep being told that Christians and Muslims worship the “same God” because Islam is an “Abrahamic religion.” Not so.

A claimed connection to Abraham does not make two descriptions of God identical.
So compare them.

✅Christianity teaches that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
❌Islam explicitly rejects the Trinity.
✅Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is God incarnate - the Son of God.
❌Islam explicitly denies His divinity and divine Sonship.
✅Christianity stands upon Christ’s Crucifixion and Resurrection.
❌The Quran denies that Jesus was crucified.

These aren't peripheral disagreements. They concern who God IS. And consider something else:
Throughout Scripture, encounters with God's angels repeatedly contain some variation of “Do not be afraid.”

According to the canonical Islamic account of Muhammad's first revelation, the being in the cave commanded him to recite and repeatedly seized and pressed him until Muhammad said he could bear it no longer. He returned home terrified.

Then remember what Paul had written centuries earlier:
“Even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.”
~ Galatians 1:8

John gives Christians another test:
“Every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.”
~ 1 John 4:3

And Scripture warns us that “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”
~ 2 Corinthians 11:14

So here is where I stand:
I do not believe Muhammad encountered the God revealed in Scripture. I believe the source of his claimed revelation was spiritually deceptive - and, judged through Christian Scripture, potentially demonic.

That's my theological conclusion. You are perfectly free to disagree with it. But shouting “Allah means God!” doesn't answer it.

Of course Allah means God. Arabic-speaking Christians use the word too.
The question isn't what the Arabic noun means.

The question is whether the being Muhammad identified as the God of Abraham can be the same God revealed through Christ while contradicting what Christianity says God revealed about Himself.

And “Abrahamic religion” doesn't solve that contradiction either. It is a classification describing religions that claim connection to Abraham - not a declaration that their respective theologies are identical.

So don't take my word for any of this.
Read the Bible.
Read the Quran.
Read the hadith.

Compare what they teach about God, Christ, salvation, judgment, mercy, violence, marriage, enemies, and truth.

Then decide for yourself:
Did Muhammad encounter the God revealed in Scripture - or something claiming His name while denying His Son?

Remember the European Hospital in Khan Younis last May?

Israel struck a targeted site there, and the world lost its mind.

Palestinians denied any tunnel existed underneath. The UN and European governments rushed to condemn Israel for attacking a “hospital.” Outrage, headlines, accusations of war crimes… the usual script.

Then June came.

The IDF took international media into the very same location and showed them the tunnel… a full Hamas command center, right under the emergency room.

Weapons, rooms, infrastructure. And yes, that’s where they found and confirmed the body of Mohammed Sinwar, Hamas’s top military commander and brother of Yahya Sinwar.

The strike that killed one of the architects of October 7 was surgically precise, and entirely justified.

Under the Geneva Conventions of 1949, hospitals and other medical facilities lose their protected status when they are used for military purposes, such as command centers, weapon storage, or troop movements. By deliberately turning the European Hospital into a Hamas base, the terrorists themselves stripped it of any legal protection.

Not a single apology from the UN or the European governments that rushed to condemn Israel. Not one admission they were wrong. They simply moved on to the next round of accusations.

This is the pattern. Hamas hides its terror infrastructure under civilian sites, uses hospitals as shields, and the international community reliably attacks the defender for responding, only to be proven wrong again and again and again when the evidence emerges.

The people telling us that what is happening in Iran is not our business as Nigerians/Africans are missing the point.

As a Nigerian non-Muslim, this concerns me more than you realise.

The Islamic regime in Iran is not just a local political structure. It exports a political model built on theocracy and militant religious ideology. It has spent decades funding, arming, and legitimising ideological groups beyond its borders. That makes it one of the most influential state actors in the global religious extremism ecosystem.

The fall of that regime would weaken terrorist organisations and extremist movements around the world. Strip away one of the most powerful state sponsors of militant religious ideology and you disrupt the broader network that feeds off it. That is exactly why you see terrorist sympathisers in the North openly aligning with Iran. They understand what is at stake.

If that regime collapses, it could significantly reduce the ideological and financial support structures that fuel religious extremism globally. And yes, that could have ripple effects for terrorism in Nigeria. Extremism does not exist in isolation. It is ideological, financial, and transnational.

So when people say it is not our concern, they are either naive about how global extremist networks function or pretending not to see the connection.

I stand with the Persian people who are calling for their oppressive regime to be crippled.
