This week I met with Dashers from across California’s 21st Congressional District to discuss their experiences working in the gig economy, the importance of portable benefits, and expanding food access throughout the Central Valley.

We talked about the challenges workers face balancing flexibility, financial stability, and access to benefits while continuing to serve families and communities across our region. As more people rely on delivery services for groceries, meals, and other essentials, these conversations are important to ensuring workers are supported and families have reliable access to food. @DoorDashImpact

1. Protecting the independence Dashers value while providing them with access to meaningful benefits and support.

2. Unlocking main street by cutting unnecessary red tape to make it easier for small businesses to open, grow, and succeed.

3. Tackling hunger and improving food access, especially for seniors in rural areas who continue to face challenges getting healthy and nutritious meals.
