Most HVAC owners are barely surviving. Most are netting 5% or less. The ones that make more than doctors generally deserve it. I don’t know any decent HVAC businesses that charge a service call fee and a diagnostic fee. We charge a diagnostic fee that includes getting out to the house and finding out what’s wrong and providing an estimate. It sounds like you used a crappy business and are surprised that they were crappy to you.

When Section 119 was revealed the saints practiced the law according to their time and they paid on “interest.” Think of a family with no real cash income but agricultural increase that could be paid in kind. They wouldn’t continue to pay 1/10th of their livestock year after year until they had nothing left. So, they paid on their increase. It wasn’t until 1963 that the church clarified that “increase” in our time is meant to be income. I have ward members each year that pay their tithes in kind, directly to the church. Today though, that’s not livestock, but usually actual shares of stock.
