Facts: the 1/6 mob caused 5 people to die, 140 LE officers to suffer severe injuries like cracked ribs, brain injuries, smashed spinal disks & more. And many more minor injuries and trauma. With 1000s of hours of video including from the rioters themselves it was the most recorded crime in US history (we prosecutors rarely have this much direct evidence). Approx 260 trials & only 2 people were acquitted (that’s a phenomenal record). Many defendants pleaded guilty (because they were). Not one defendant won a motion for selective or malicious prosecution or disclosure violations. Some of the judges overseeing cases were Trump appointed. Defendants had every legal process and rights and these were some of the most carefully scrutinized cases by DOJ ever. The highest sentences were the most serious offenders and/or people with extensive criminal histories. (Some judges questioned why the govt wasn’t seeking higher sentences actually). ⚖️

Vin Lananna, a legend/Hall of Fame coach. Two men’s and one women’s outdoor ACC Championships for a school w/no indoor track facilities for winter training. Amazing!! By my count, this is UVA’s 161st ACC title — men: 90/women: 71. Since 2000, UVA has 106 ACC titles, men: 50/women: 56. #GoHoos 🔶⚔️🔷

Back in 2021, I drove to Louisiana to meet a young man named Norris. At the time, he had already been mowing free lawns for over four years… not for recognition, but simply to help others.

I first heard about him after Frozen Rayne SnoCones made a post about him and tagged me. Norris had received one of their “Caught You” tickets from a local police officer, something they give out to kids they catch doing good in the community. And that right there tells you everything you need to know about him.

When I met Norris in person, I could tell immediately, this young man was different. Humble. Respectful. Well-spoken. Driven.

We made him an Honorary Member of the 50 Yard Challenge, at the time, he was only the second ever.

But what stood out the most wasn’t just what he had done… it was why he did it.

He started by helping disabled family members, then took that same heart and extended it to others in his community. No spotlight. No expectations. Just service.

And I’ll never forget what he told me…

He said one day he wanted to own his own lawn care service… and more importantly, he wanted to inspire others to do good too.

Now here we are years later, and I still think about that moment.

Because Norris wasn’t just mowing lawns…
he was leading by example.And that’s what this is all about.

Keep doing your thing, Norris. You inspired more people than you probably even realize.
