Most weekends it's not even 7am in the morning and my husband has already left the house to go and check if the pitch is ok to play on. He could just wait until he gets there at half 8 to set up for the match.

The only day he can get little lie in, he leaves mega early so that the other parents know ASAP so they may just get that lie in. It’s the small, hidden duties of a manager which make a big difference to the team AND the parents. 100 % dedication and always thinking of others.

That’s a manager (and a managers partner who is also awake with the alarm!)

Early on a weekend morning on very cold, blustery days, volunteer coaches all around the UK will do this so parents can be informed ASAP. It’s not always easy to predict wether a game is on or off untill the day of a game. Let’s give these men and women a little pat on the back and a thank you 👏👏
