@joshnaa2gez Switch it around to someone telling you you must be celebate for your entire life. I think at the very least it is right for us to have empathy for people that have to go through hardships that we cannot possibly understand..
@NickACardone@q_3st I served my mission in the Philippines and I’ve seen firsthand the teachings of the Catholic Church, where women cannot be divorced from their husbands and contraception of any kind is illegal.
@q_3st The idea that a fertilized egg is a person with a soul has no basis in our doctrine or in the history of the church and the ancient church. Nor does it have a history among the Jews or the ancient Jews. The idea that life begins at conception is a modern political concoction.
@q_3st The church does not believe that ensoulment begins at conception. It is actually very clear that miscarriages in the first trimester are different from still births in the handbook. The church has at multiple times defined abortion not as killing but something like unto it.
@coleman_sellers@robertgraham No it is main point of the OP post. You are more than willing to attack the Biden with no evidence of a crime committed. But you are unwilling to look at the billions in crypto, the unprecedented real estate deals, the club run by his son specifically to peddle influence...
@KimballCall@LeBongJames Unlike most men in a messy divorce he remained active through his repentance process and is now a temple recommend holder who serves in the EQ presidency. Point is when we let fear or disgust cloud our perception we stop seeing the child of God and just see the sin.
@KimballCall@LeBongJames We had a brother go through a messy divorce in our Ward. Clearly was his fault, instead of turning our collective backs to him the Elders Quorum united to take him to lunch multiple times a week. Invite him to watch football on the weekend. Call him out of the blue to talk.
