@sturdyAlex I think there are two issues
1. Rule-breaking. NF is (seemingly) not. AR potentially has - if so, deliberately or not, she’s on the same ground as COVID parties
2. The moral issue, personally I do think you raise the bar for yourself when you advocate so strongly for something
@sturdyAlex Respectfully, Alex, this isn’t comparing apples with apples.
Farage’s politics are pro avoidance and he isn’t breaking any rules.
AR has potentially (albeit accidentally) breached rules, and even if not, for moral reasons her politics are vehemently anti even legal avoidance.
@Zonal_Marking@GuillemBalague 🏴 aren’t as good as ‘22 (no Bright/Kirby/White, inj Bronze). They didn’t deserve to get past 🇸🇪 or 🇮🇹 despite being 💪🏻 on paper, but scraped by on ‘moments’.
When they got to 🇪🇸, one of few teams better than them, after 120mins x2, no surprise they were hanging on for pens
@CRBirchenough@DanielJHannan But then he would be accountable - which is when they all fail. Mr Farage will find out soon enough, to our collective cost.
@Alex_Berwick@Zonal_Marking Exactly. Not quite sure how Liverpool keep getting tagged as a team that haven’t spent a lot recently (Darwin, Szob, Diaz, Jota, McAllister, Gravenberch, Gakpo…)!
@PEPForum@Telegraph Where the increase is 14/15%, they’re not ‘increasing fees’ at all - they’re collecting tax, offsetting what they are able to claim back themselves.
This is such misleading messaging.
@BestForBritain Agree they should be given back, but not sure about the ‘part of a building’ argument in this case. Presumably the stones would be going into the Acropolis museum, not back to the Parthenon itself?
@JohnBrewin_ Tbf, Wenger’s earlier teams were actually very good at playing with 10, and often salvaged points/wins with a man down. Arteta doesn't seem to have a gameplan for scoring a goal after going down to 10, which is fast becoming a problem this season.
@PEPForum@StuartAndrew Indeed - this consultation was announced on 29th July as part of the Treasury Policy Paper on this subject. The most concerning thing is that the likes of Stuart and my own MP @ClaireCoutinho were seemingly unaware of this until the weekend it was due to close.
