Wildlife in all its forms (Birds especially) but learning about everything from Mammals to Fungi and everything in between. Attempting to be non-political
Whilst exploring the Anti Atlas mountains with @Hamidmoroco we had a brilliant encounter with a non-habituated troop of Barbary Macaques in the Cedar forest along with some brilliant butterflies like Spanish Fritillary and the ever present Atlas Flycatcher.
One of my personal highlights from the trip with @Hamidmoroco was the amazing experience in the desert at a tented camp in Merzouga with Desert Sparrow nesting in the tents and Lesser Egyptian Gerbil running around after dark!
In May we had an amazing trip to Morocco with @Hamidmoroco it’s taken a bit of time sorting out the pics but here’s a few of the amazing Owls and Nightjars we saw, Pharaoh Eagle Owl, Maghreb Owl and Egyptian Nightjar.
Just back from an amazing trip to Morocco with @Hamidmoroco and still going through the pics, this Flycatcher looked very pale in the field and I’m still not sure what it is, I’ve seen Mediterranean Flycatcher in Mallorca and this looked very similar. Any thoughts welcome.

I had the pleasure of spending a few days with Oliwier last May with a few mates and I cannot recommend him highly enough! Great birder, great guide and a brilliant person! We saw all our target species plus a few we didn’t think were possible!
Black Woodpecker will be one of the main bird targets of birding tours planned to NE Poland for spring 2024. Small groups, unique nature, best knowledge of wildlife spots.
26-30 April & 23-29 May. Both tours are guaranteed to depart.
DM for details or have a look on my website.
@01000011S@doonaldfwilson Thanks Cliff! When it decided to do a bunk from Aberdeenshire I thought the game was a bogey so I’m really glad it decided to rock up 25 mins from my house!
