Some people have stopped debating ideology & started criticizing observations. Some will tell you you’re a bad/immoral person for simply seeing the world differently. Push back against this. Note that one may have different observations/data, but not necessarily different values.
@SimonChapman6@MrDenmore @billshortenmp @jayrosen_nyu@InsidersABC Thanks for sharing. The main points and examples still resonate so well 7 years later. Do you think it will be a slow grind or seismic shift in this direction? If at all? Which platforms are best suited to this model? Conventional ones? Something new? @jayrosen_nyu@MrDenmore
@MrDenmore @billshortenmp Agree largely. Would appreciate more fact based reporting at the ground level over opinion and speculation and weekly polls. In saying that, I think Stan Grant has a nice approach on Matter of Fact. Thoughts?
The hardest part of using Twitter is not being an asshole when confronted with conflicting information.
It’s the act of letting go of ego and letting your views evolve as new information comes in and you see that your old views were wrong, or at a minimum, incomplete.
