🛜 Remember LAN parties? I do

LAN means "local area network" and it was essentially the internet but locally only in your home or company in the late 90s and early 2000s

So you could connect to other computers to play games or share files, kinda like Airdrop but via a cable and 30 years ago, people would even meet up at some person's house and bring their entire computer (back then a big PC tower, CRT monitor, keyboard and mouse) and everyone would connect to each other

Which is were you'd get all the WaReZ games, MP3 music, etc. cause nobody had internet yet, or if you did it was super slow, so LAN was much faster to transfer files

I know Windows 3.11 did have support for LAN networking via NetBEUI and it "should" work, but of course on https://t.co/M1hEUBB6da I don't have a network cable that goes to an Ethernet network hub to other computers

But...we could just act like we do?

I asked AI to build a virtual Ethernet hub (a hub routes traffic) that acts like a local LAN, but instead of connecting physical computers in a home, it connects other browser sessions on the internet that have https://t.co/M1hEUBB6da running Windows 3.11 open at any time, and with DHCP it can assign an IP to every browser session dynamically, so they literally all become part of a local LAN on the internet!

It runs on a virtual NE2000 network card that sends its network data not to a network cable but via Websockets to wss://pieter.com

And it works, well kinda, I just started and its' not perfect, but I'm able to PING in MS-DOS from one tab to the other!

Next is setting it up inside Windows 3.11!

The madness continues: now the smallest Mac Mini costs almost twice as much because the 256 GB version has been discontinued. Still not available until beginning of June.

Peter Steinberger is joining OpenAI to drive the next generation of personal agents. He is a genius with a lot of amazing ideas about the future of very smart agents interacting with each other to do very useful things for people. We expect this will quickly become core to our product offerings.

OpenClaw will live in a foundation as an open source project that OpenAI will continue to support. The future is going to be extremely multi-agent and it's important to us to support open source as part of that.

🚀 How to get rich with OSS in 90 days

We just watched history: a solo dev hobby project explodes to tens of thousands of GitHub stars in weeks, gets renamed twice amid trademark drama, hits Lex Fridman’s podcast, and sparks a wave of wrappers, SaaS layers, and acquisition chatter.

@openclaw (ex-Clawdbot / Moltbot) didn't make Peter Steinberger (@steipete) billionaire overnight, but it created real wealth velocity: attention → community → wrappers/SaaS → exits/offers in < 90 days 💰

👉 The playbook that actually works right now:

1️⃣Pick a painful, timely problem in the AI/agent wave (local execution, privacy-first assistants, vibe-coding automation, etc.).
2️⃣Build fast & open-source day 1: MIT/Apache license, killer README, beautiful demo GIFs/videos. Launch on Reddit/Hacker News/X with zero gatekeeping.
3️⃣Ride the virality flywheel (GitHub stars, people fork/build on top, etc.) to get massive attribution, inbound leads, consulting gigs, sponsorships, or straight acquisition interest
4️⃣Invest own money or get sponsorship (e.g. GitHub Sponsors): up to $10k–20k/month loss on hosting, tokens, security, etc.
5️⃣Stack credibility fast: post daily progress threads, do AMAs, podcasts, let the community co-maintain

But please remain realistic: almost all OSS are not commercially successful, 99% of OSS stays hobby-level 😮
