All those states in red were run by democrats for 125 years - its hard to undo more than a century of bad policy in 20 years. Southern states ranked in the bottom in all those categories when democrats ran them from 1875-2006. BTW Tennessee is now in the Top 20 in Education -- We get a great ROI while NY spends 25K per student and ranks 31st - Tennessee spends 9,500(51st) and ranks 20th. Who has the better system. In efficiency rank NY is 49th - TN is 7th. The top 7 in efficiency are FL- Texas - GA- AZ- NC - IN - TN.

1) I don’t think the woman was trying to murder the cop. I don’t think the cop should have shot the woman. It is obviously sad the woman was killed. She was being insane, yes, but she was an American citizen protesting something she believes in.

2) That being said, watching the video from multiple angles, I think the cop was more than justified in shooting the woman.

3) This is exactly why you don’t fuck around with cops. They have no way of knowing your intentions, mental state, etc., and they deal with people who try to kill them every day. They don’t have the luxury of asking a committee to review the situation before reacting. Watching a video in slow motion on your phone from multiple angles after the fact is very different from making a split second decision in the moment.

4) We simply cannot live in a society where people feel like they can fuck around with impunity and never find out. If a cop stops you and asks for ID you fucking comply. Period. If you want to fight the charge do it in court later with a lawyer. This is simply a prerequisite for a civilized society.

The cop COULD have chosen not to fire, and arguably SHOULD have chosen not to fire, but the woman’s death is still 100% her own fault for not acting like a reasonable, responsible human being while operating a 2000 lb vehicle.

5) I put the blame here on the far left who have clearly been stoking anti-ICE sentiment for some time hoping something like this would happen so they could weaponize it and I’m sure they hope to incite some nationwide GF-level anti-ICE riot.

6) I don’t love the ICE raids. I don’t like illegal immigration, but I think deportations should be 100% focused on violent criminals and drug traffickers. I don’t think we gain much as a society by hunting down every single innocent law abiding person who’s here illegally. Yes they are breaking the law but with limited resources and political capital to spend on immigration enforcement it endangers the broader mission without making society meaningfully better.

. @McDonalds franchisees eat our food all the time. We see how it’s procured, delivered, cooked, and prepared. I don’t think I’ve ever met a fellow franchisee who didn’t eat McD’s. I literally can’t think of one.

People don’t realize that most of our suppliers are the brand names found in your local grocery store, but we get preferential first pick of supply chain ingredients.

I love our Quarter Pounders, nuggets, and french fries. Do I eat french fries or ice cream every day? No, they are extremely good but everything in moderation.

I’m a pretty healthy person: cold-pressed juices, workouts, sauna, I only buy beef from a family farm, and I watch what oils I consume. I’m in tune with my health, and McD’s totally fits into my regimen.

Would I tweak a procedure or the way we cook something? I can think of one thing, but I’m proud of what we offer. In fact, if anyone asks me for a tour of the kitchen, I tell them to go wash their hands. People are amazed and always walk out a bigger fan of the brand after seeing the kitchen.

Like I always say, 95% of everything you read about McD’s (what’s in our food, where it comes from, how it’s made) is not true. Many people have MDS & are haters because it fits a vibe they wish to project to others.

Just remember, you will never meet a hater doing better than you.
