De Niro: It doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat, a Republican, or an Independent—no one, no one voted for new wars. No one voted for higher prices at the pump. No one voted for higher prices in grocery stores. No one voted for higher prices in the housing market. No one voted for deporting our good neighbors, and no one voted for government-masked thugs shooting down our citizens in the streets.
@PapaBrum They’re following all of the rules. They’re doing what they’re allowed to do. I’m not criticizing any private school. But due to the advantage of recruiting or attracting athletes from a wide range and public schools having boundary restrictions, The playoff should be separate
@PapaBrum And understand, I salute their success. I’m sure their coaches work hard. But public schools have to follow MSHSAA rules of residency. Private schools don’t. They should have their own championship.
Let’s be clear, ICE doesn’t care if the people they pick up are criminals, undocumented, citizens, or kids - so long as they are Latino.
Let’s also be clear, MAGA enjoys the harm inflicted on these families, they don’t care if they are criminals, undocumented, citizens or kids - so long as they are Latino.
Neither ICE nor MAGA care about the constitution unless it directly serves them or inflict pain on others.
We asked PAXIS what the constitution says:
If federal agents were sweeping families off the street because of the color of their skin, that would not be “enforcement.” It would be a direct collision with the Constitution.
The Fourth Amendment does not allow dragnet seizures. The Fifth Amendment does not permit racial targeting by the federal government. Immigration authority does not erase equal protection. A street roundup based on skin color would be the kind of government power the Constitution was written to restrain.
Race is not probable cause. Skin color is not suspicion. And no badge overrides the Bill of Rights.

July 4, 1776: Wondering whether the USA is the only country to celebrate its independence on the anniversary of simply declaring it, rather than on the anniversary of winning it. In our case, the British surrender at Yorktown, Virginia: October 19, 1781.
If so, that’s badass.
At @NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, Manhattan, they specialize in planetary climates — especially Earth's.
The White House decided not to renew their building lease — where they’ve been for 64 years.
NASA’s total funding is 0.3% of the Federal Budget. Just saying.
Climate Change archives…
In 2005, I served on Pres. Bush's NSF panel to recommend who he'd award the National Medal of Science. One winner was Lonnie Thompson. Studied ice cores from tropical mountain glaciers, revealing forces of climate variability on Earth, past & present.
I’ll never understand how we all watched this live on television and didn’t immediately disqualify Donald Trump from public office for the rest of his life.
Alex Rodriguez asked a question. Reggie Jackson answered it.
(Shouts to the producer and rest of the desk for staying out of Reggie’s way and just letting him talk. I doubt they expected this answer. But it’s a great few minutes of television.)
Totality was incredible!!! 1000x better than experiencing a partial. This was the view all the way around us. Called a 360 degree sunset. Seeing the suns corona was unforgettable. The sunny photo is now.
