Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.
ALL ROAD USERS.
And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all. For sharrows, it’s safer to NOT have them.

@NYAMCunningham I just left you a message. Let’s engage in civic discourse. There’s never a good time for change, congestion pricing will be transformative to both reduce vehicle traffic while making much needed investment in mass transit which benefit the vast majority of your constituents.
The next time your train is late, your bus is trapped in traffic, or your subway station is still missing an elevator, you know who to blame: Governor Kathy Hochul.
I have been a staunch supporter of @GovKathyHochul from day 1. Her flipflop on #congestionpricing is appalling + a massive letdown. Meanwhile, Dems in Michigan + Minnesota run laps around us with trifectas in gov by actually implementing, then defending good progressive policies.
I'm not surprised that things didn't go according plan when virtually no effort went to preparing to launch the plan by thousands of faculty to millions of students? So many different levels here...such a disconnect b/w administrators, faculty and students/parents.

"I know everyone must be exhausted," this Queens principal notified teachers, parents and students.
Cutting class early will give kids a chance to "PLAY OUTSIDE."

Grand central Madison: boy is it deep. Forget to buy ticket, had to go all the way back up and come back down. There is so much space and so few people. Why can’t we buy tickets on the train or on the platform?
In 1969 New York City required trash to be taken out in Oscar the Grouch-style metal cans. According to the City’s Department of Health the cans were the best defense against rats. At the time rats were only found on 11% of city blocks. Here’s when that all changed 🧵
