@willmcgugan Any time I see shlex used, I get a little nervous. Most uses of it should be replaced by either:

1. passing the whole string to an actual shell to execute
2. refactoring the code so that it only handles lists of arguments, rather than a single string with special syntax.

@sanaeknits @jpoliticssf depends on the state. CA is "driver-fault", so the state have to prove it was you driving. Some other states are "owner-fault", so they just ticket the owner of the car. (But then they can't e.g. add points to your license like owner-fault states can.)

After years of using serial console, I just today learned about the resize command https://t.co/RxGoGhqYiR, which makes the terminal size on the remote end match your local terminal. No more resizing your terminal window to 80x24 so that ncurses+readline aren't broken!

@Astro_Wright @BezPublic You’d have to find a set of remaining secrets for which every possible guess would eliminate the same word. That sounds hard. Probably easier to try to find a path to every secret, and see which words that has trouble with. My hunch is that every word can be found.

@Astro_Wright @BezPublic I’m not sure. I had some code that found a path to a given word, but it was restricted to ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️ clues and it took several seconds per word, so I gave up and went at it from the other direction (find the word I wanted to end up at, then find a path.)

@hashbrowncipher Indistinguishable from noise doesn't mean undetectable with multiple receivers -- white noise is the easiest type of sound to localize. (That's why trucks recently have started using white noise instead of single-pitch for back-up alarms)
