To make sure our current users have an incredible experience and continued access to Astra, we are going to pause subscriptions to our $200 Pro plan. These put the most strain on our systems and we wanted to take the smallest step that allows us to continue giving the broadest access possible. All other plans and the api remain available.
There is no impact to existing accounts and we are working on adding more capacity as fast as we can. Thanks!
Effulgence RPG 1.0 is out now! After more than two years of solo development, the full game is finally here. I created its ASCII visuals by hand and programmed the game myself.

@thsottiaux but do you have voice running as an always-on or wake-word system already? I would find that interaction to be 1000x more useful than what's available today
see me at devday? ok fine
I'll be excited about chatbots since devday is soon and hardware announcement is right around the corner. speaking robot on the desk is coming, and you can use it with your subscription tier! but when everyone needs to talk to pro all day... we must pause subscriptions
I’m sure OpenAI knows this, but it feels like they’re ceding ground to Grok Bot, Meta Muse, and even Siri AI by hiding ChatGPT’s more powerful agentic capabilities behind a “Work” tab that many people will rarely click, and isn’t a good name for personal tasks.
It feels like OpenAI has nerfed GPT Astra.
just look at this difference.
the left one was built at launch of GPT Astra and the right one was built right now.
if you do make it to 4 minutes, there is a pretty cool transition. then a cool transition just after 6 minutes. 7:20 transitions to the boss battle end which is also kinda neat
astra pro made all of it. music first, then video. two prompts
asked for retro final fantasy boss battle style music, then a video that goes with it
there's a lot of repetition in the video, but it does have battle phases
first video was too large to DL at near 500MB
human extinction is not easy. none of the "respectable" ai risk factors people normally mention in the RSP / preparedness reports would get even close i think, like nuclear or pandemics. it has to be the grey goo. the parallel family of self-replicators
I've had a stealth rollout of at least one new chatgpt live voice model. or an upgraded version lol either way... better than live-1 in terms of matching the mood. better inflection, humor, cadence... I mean you can really roll with it at times
a real wingman 🛩
