@medcentermaster You offer clinical acumen, deep medical knowledge and the training in how to apply all of that to test results ! I value and respect that, but I should still know actual results not get a postcard saying "OK till next appt". I can better manage my chronic disease if I understand
The era wherein doctors were the source of information for patients is gone. And it ain't coming back. Patients have access to all the information we do: labs, journal articles, everything.
This should make all of us ask: what else of value do I offer?
@jmugele As someone with a chronic disease, appreciate getting my results ASAP. Some docs used to have secretary call week later to say"labs ok", giving no info. I value the full lab report
