Main idea: #AI#disclosure is necessary, but not enough.
Disclosure is the floor. Intellectual ownership is the standard.
Authors must be able to explain, defend & stand behind the work.
What say you?
#MedEd
@AdamRodmanMD@JournalofGME Well, our argument is pretty specific to academic writing, as opposed to “cognitive work” more broadly. Our hope, I think, is that intellectual ownership will always be necessary. But I guess time will tell! As you note, things are moving incredibly fast…💨 #MedEd
@AdamRodmanMD@JournalofGME Again, I’m not sure what u r saying. Do u think we’ r advocating for 2 much or 2 little disclosure? Either way, I’m not sure how u got that from our article. We don’t say that much about what level of disclosure is needed. What we DO SAY is that disclosure alone is not enough.
@AdamRodmanMD@JournalofGME Do we say NOT to disclose? I don’t think so. We say yes, disclosure is necessary, but it’s not enough.
What am I missing in your critique, Adam?
'Visibility is not quality, popularity is not rigor, and online engagement is not a proxy for scientific merit... Social media should complement strong work, not compensate for weak scholarship.'
Excellent article from @mededdoc 👏👏👏

Helping your #MedEd scholarship FLY takes more than publication alone. In our forthcoming work, we argue that social media can help scholarship travel farther—when used thoughtfully, professionally, and without reducing dissemination to self-promotion...
Some paper ideas come quickly. Others take yrs to marinate. This one took about a decade.
In our new paper, we argue that for most small #MedEd grants, the math just doesn’t add up: low success rates, high costs ($, opportunity cost), incredibly low ROI👉https://t.co/8riSGcJKM8
Thanks so much for selecting our article as a #MedEd "must read," and thank you for sharing!

If you’re sick of our politics, follow @NASA and Artemis II. The crew represents the best of America: courage, discipline, excellence, and a shared commitment to something bigger than themselves. A needed reminder of what humans can do at our best. #MedEd
Enjoyed our time at the @AERA_EdResearch#Fellows breakfast this morning.
I’m honored and humbled to be inducted along side my friends and colleagues, @HunterGehlbach and Tim Cleary.
Thank you @OSullivanUCSF for the nomination!
The @NCAA should be embarrassed. That officiating last night was a travesty! So lopsided. It’s unreal that they did that to the @UConnMBB kids who, nonetheless, played their hearts out.
If @UConnMBB could get a fair shake from the officials they would be up 6-8 instead of down 4.
I hope the @NCAA is embarrassed by this officiating for a championship game.
At least they are fighting like they always do and have kept it close despite the foul disparity.
