I handed each of them notebook, to pen down their STORY , their short and long-term career goals but most importantly ‘the break they needed!’. We shared many stories and started to tackle solutions. We created a 3 step unlocking plan for each of them.
I have walked paths that I have had to curve out myself and fought for seats in boardrooms along the way. It is my hope that the women who come after me should find a roadmap & a guiding light. The road must get easier until all women have equal access opportunity #AbreakWithLala
We’re crushing hard on a woman of worth this Wednesday - @lalatuku. She’s a leader, teacher, pioneer and legend on her own right. See link in bio to find out why.

Founder of mentorship platform #ABreakWithLala@lalatuku shares her profound learnings in the industry during an in-depth one-on-one with us as a well-rounded industry practitioner who is ready to share her extensive learnings from roles played behind and in front of the camera.
Never did I imagine that I would get such an outpouring of young women who have contacted me for the #ABreakWithLala initiative. It is testament to the many gaps that still exist in the industry and further entrenches the importance of such a project.
Co-chair of @Ariff_festival and Executive Producer of shows such as the award-winning #50/50 and the new exciting drama series #Grassroots, are accolades attributable to the rare leadership capabilities of @lalatuku. We celebrate this seasoned practitioner via the link in bio.
