At the 58th @UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board meeting, MPP highlighted the importance of ensuring that innovation reaches everyone who needs it.

In its statement on long-acting antiretrovirals, MPP emphasised the role of public health-oriented voluntary licensing, technology transfer, and local and regional manufacturing in expanding equitable access to HIV prevention and treatment.

MPP remains committed to working with partners to help ensure HIV innovations reach people everywhere.

🤝🏽 Natacha Debbané, Romain Dissard and Giulia Segafredo of @MedsPatentPool will be on site and would welcome discussions with stakeholders across the oncology ecosystem on (early) access planning and scalable access pathways.

💡 Voluntary licensing is a practical mechanism to help expand patient reach in untapped LMICs markets, enabling quality-assured supply while innovators stay focused on core markets.

🚀 And the model is already delivering in oncology: @MedsPatentPool has signed a licence with @Novartis for nilotinib (a treatment for chronic myeloid leukaemia), and licensed generic supply has begun reaching patients in LMICs, demonstrating what partnership-based access can achieve in practice.
