A $25,000 humanoid robot should not sit idle 18 hours a day.
Rosey is an early marketplace for emerging humanoid robot rentals:
rent before buying, list one you own, or follow the category as it forms.

@tpgoebel The repair log would be just as useful as the step count. For a rental, I want to know what wore out and how long it took to get back to work.
@michellelsun@taurobots Would you book them again with a longer slot, or would the noise and floor risk put you off? That feels like the real test after a first visit.
If a rented robot scratches your floor, who should handle the repair: the owner, the operator or the marketplace? That answer needs to be clear before the robot comes through the door.
@PowerHasheur@elonmusk Would a short rental with SDK access be enough to test your agent, or do you need the hardware full-time? We are building Rosey for rentals, but do not have live inventory yet.
@yeonvail Do they say what it takes to move this between job sites? Transport and setup could make a big difference to whether short rentals make sense.
If you could rent a humanoid for a day, what’s the one job you’d want it to finish before it left? The answer is probably more useful than a wishlist of everything it might do someday.
@cyvanessali What would you need it to do for the day? We’re building Rosey for rentals like this, with a waitlist at https://t.co/SfP2bKBDGd and no live inventory yet.
@CyberRobooo Does the laundry demo include checking that the door latched and the cycle actually started? Those little checks are where I’d want to see the extra senses earn their keep.
NEURA’s Neuron AI combines sight, touch and sound to judge what a robot has done. For home robots, hearing the washer door click shut could matter as much as seeing it.
@agilityrobotics@nyobolt Does the fast charger need a dedicated installation, or can it move with Digit between sites? That matters for short-term deployments.
@RoboParty_DEV Will the open-source release include repair and calibration guides? Those would make it much easier for someone other than the builder to keep a rental running.
MIT’s C-GMT research looks at how humanoids respond to unexpected contact. For a robot working in your home, getting bumped should be part of the test.
@bhalla_arnavk Would the same reminder carry over to an unfamiliar room, or does it need to be repeated for each job? That seems especially important when a robot moves between customers.
@homebrewrobots Stacking cups looks like a fun way to find out whether you actually enjoy teleoperating. Does the sim use the same controls as your real robot?
