Hello Mr Dell,
I bought a Dell G15 laptop on 4 Nov 2023.
It has been horror since then. The team has replaced –
SSD, Touchpad, LCD screen, motherboard.
Clearly, a faulty piece was shipped as such issues don’t come with 6-8 months of purchase.
Please look into this issue @Dell_IN
Religion & other social institutions played a huge role in taming animals and the progress of humanity. One downside is the creation of the concept of guilt which hinders the progress of individuals.
In reality, guilt doesn't matter if one is trying to progress.
An upcoming HLPodcast w/David Yeager on Growth Mindset makes clear that the neural circuits that increase motivation are amplified by goal directed efforts when our efforts are tied to a larger purpose … b/c all the energy exerted en route to such goals register as progress.
Incremental change combined with transformational change-
Gun cartridge invention for warfare, JIT manufacturing by Toyota, leadership change in ICT in form of Saurav Ganguly and John Wright, some new friend for a child in his school, change of place et al.
Some qualities evoke huge biases from people - beauty, strength, power, speech.
People appreciate that person while s/he possess them and stop njoying his/her company as those qualities wither away.
That person shud enjoy while it lasts, and be satisfied even when peple go away.
(Communication tip)
Ask your team to apply the "Rule of Repair" from Unix Philosophy in communication, too.
"Repair what you can — but when you must fail, fail noisily and as soon as possible."
As a manager, there is a thin line between being pushy and holding people accountable. It's your job to communicate your expectations clearly.
There's a difference between expecting 100% success from the team all the time versus expecting an update if there's a delay or change of plan for any reason.
Make it clear that you're NOT expecting 100% success from team all the time (unless you want to be unreasonable). Instead, you'd like the team to communicate any delays and roadblocks 100% of the time.
Ask the team to repair what they can, but if they fail, ask them to fail as noisily as possible. This way, you can have their back and plan the next steps accordingly.
As a manager, don't punish the messenger delivering the bad news. Otherwise, you'll find that people don't come to you with any failures.
A lot of times, when someone asks for some advice and we don't have much knowledge about the subject the best advice is - "I am not sure about it, but you'll figure it out".
Many-a-times, people give advice which might discourage the truth-seeking nature & hamper growth.
A place where there are too many aspiring leaders has too much chaos.
From among those contenders, one will eventually rise effectively annihilating the others, and not by literally annihilating them, but by outgrowing them all.

I read and realize that more of what I have been thinking independently is worth discussion and not worthless, as claimed by people to whom I tried to discuss with.

While watching a podcast Sparx on youtube, I noticed that he has very thin eyebrows. There's a podcast by Dr Niraj Rai where he said that banias of North India are at the risk of congenital diseases due to inbreeding. I can recall a lot of my bania friends with thin eyebrows.
Akbar followed this approach and could create a vast empire while Aurangzeb over-centralised and sowed the seeds of the downfall of the empire.
The central force should follow the Teddy Roosevelt's policy of - Speak softly and carry a big stick.

It is imperative that systems give autonomy to the groups/individuals in their spheres.
The central force of large systems should be accommodating in this.

They have ambition to rise and be respected.
Nonetheless, they are not bullies to the people whom they lead.
