I'm pretty upset that Glee has done 2 Britney episodes and neither has featured Quinn Fabray singing Lucky. #unjust

So, I spoke to people getting food at a food bank and here are some things I learned from those in need:
1. Everyone donates Kraft Mac and Cheese in the box. They can rarely use it because it needs milk and butter which is hard to get from regular food banks.
2. Boxed milk is a treasure, as kids need it for cereal which they also get a lot of.
3. Everyone donates pasta sauce and spaghetti noodles.
4. They cannot eat all the awesome canned veggies and soup unless you put a can opener in too or buy pop tops.
5. Oil is a luxury but needed for Rice a-Roni which they also get a lot of.
6. Spices or salt and pepper would be a real Christmas gift.
7. Tea bags and coffee make them feel like you care.
8. Sugar and flour are treats.
9. They fawn over fresh produce donated by farmers and grocery stores.
10. Seeds are cool in Spring and Summer because growing can be easy for some.
11. They rarely get fresh meat.
12. Tuna and crackers make a good lunch.
13. Hamburger Helper goes nowhere without ground beef.
14. They get lots of peanut butter and jelly but usually not sandwich bread.
15. Butter or margarine is nice too.
16. Eggs are a real commodity.
17. Cake mix and frosting makes it possible to make a child’s birthday cake.
18. Dishwashing detergent is very expensive and is always appreciated.
19. Feminine hygiene products are a luxury and women will cry over that.
20. Everyone loves Stove Top Stuffing.

In all the years I have donated food at the Holidays, I bought what I thought they wanted, but have never asked. I am glad I did. If you are helping a Family this Christmas, maybe this can help you tailor it more. It does for me!

That’s $276 a year for each user, by the way.

The thing that blew up negotiations last week?

SAG-AFTRA asked for 57 cents of that.

There is no justification for terrorism.

Hamas does not stand for the Palestinian people’s equal right to dignity and self-determination.

They use Palestinian civilians as human shields, and offer nothing but terror and bloodshed with no regard for who pays the price.

Imma say something controversial:

We talk a lot about AI and tech replacing people in the arts, but it’s also going to replace people in medicine.

And unless more medical professionals take the time to advocate for lower healthcare costs for all, this will be the reasonable

The Republicans got what they wanted. The ONLY purpose of the Biden impeachment hearings was for Trump’s impeachments and indictments to matter less.

The original Michelin Man from 1894.
He was is white because rubber tires are naturally white. It was not until 1912 that carbon chemicals were mixed into the white tires, which turned them black. The change was structural, not aesthetic. By adding carbon, tires became more durable.

Michelin also began reviewing restaurants so that more people would travel further distances in their cars to eat at these restaurants. This, in turn, would wear down their tires faster and force them to buy more.

The star system that Michelin uses goes up to three and is broken down by whether or not it's worth driving to the restaurant:

One star: "A very good restaurant in its category" (Une très bonne table dans sa catégorie)

Two stars: "Excellent cooking, worth a detour" (Table excellente, mérite un détour)

Three stars: "Exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey" (Une des meilleures tables, vaut le voyage).

The ruling class wants you to think petty theft is ruining everything. It’s just not true. They want you to support endless police funding but wage theft is an infinitely greater problem. Plus capitalism just can’t sustain infinite growth.

This week's episode is Hampton v. United States, where the Court held that you can't claim an entrapment defense just because the cops committed like 80% of the crime in question.
