Every generation gets its own version of nation building. For one generation, it was winning our freedom. For another, building our institutions and industries. For ours, it is building the technologies that will define the future of the world.
At Pixxel, we are fortunate to play a small part - building the best hyperspectral spacecraft in India, for the world. 🇮🇳
Happy Independence Day to every fellow Indian! The best of India is still ahead of us.
Join us for The Power of Hyperspectral, the first session in Pixxel’s webinar series on June 3, 2026. Discover how hyperspectral intelligence is transforming the way we understand Earth.
With rich spectral detail across hundreds of bands, we'll explore real-world applications and a live walkthrough that showcases how this data enables more precise, actionable decision-making.

The surface never tells the whole story.
Captured by Pixxel’s Firefly satellites, this imagery reveals the true diversity of land use and land cover across Abu Dhabi. Where EMIT shows a largely uniform “sand” landscape, Pixxel uncovers a far more detailed mosaic of vegetation, bare soil, and urban surfaces. 🛰️
With deeper spectral insight, broad classifications give way to more accurate material detection, distinguishing critical features like asphalt and biomass, even in regions where conventional sensors can misclassify up to 90% of pixels!

Behind the scenes of Hyperspectral Academy 🎬
Watch our brilliant minds - Ryan Hammock (Head of Solutions Engineering), Jeremy Kravitz (VP of Analytics), and Megan Gallagher (Industry Principal) get curious, candid, and a little fun while breaking down the science, technology, and real-world impact of Pixxel’s hyperspectral imagery.
From in-depth learning to real-world use cases, we’re unlocking a new dimension of understanding for Earth. Stay tuned for more in the upcoming 'Hyperspectral Academy' episodes.
Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back.
Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: https://t.co/rzM1P0QbOl
Liftoff.
The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon.
Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap — astronauts on Mars.
Orbital debris is among the space industry’s most pressing challenges.
Pixxel is partnering with Cosmoserve on its upcoming technology demonstration mission to validate debris mitigation capabilities in orbit, bringing proven satellite bus design expertise to support the program. 📷

7 years today. At least 70 more to go. Thankful to everyone that made it possible for @PixxelSpace to reach orbit and get us to where we are today. Now to the stars ✨
Seven years ago, we started with a question:
What if we could build a health monitor for the planet?🌏
It took years of building, testing, failing, and learning the hard way. And then one day, Shakuntala was in orbit: our first launched Pathfinder satellite and validation of our core capabilities. Anand followed, strengthening our technological foundation and expanding what we could achieve.
Most recently, our six Fireflies lit up the sky, the world’s highest-resolution hyperspectral constellation to date, turning our vision into actionable Earth observation data at scale.
Today, we build the satellites, systems, and software that make the planet intelligible. And seven years in, planetary intelligence is no longer just an idea. It is operational.
We’re grateful to everyone who has built, supported, and believed in our mission.
Here’s to seven years of @PixxelSpace, and to going further. 🥂
We’re excited to share that Ryan McKinney has joined Pixxel as Chief Revenue Officer!
Ryan brings deep experience in building and scaling commercial teams within the Earth observation ecosystem, having held leadership roles at Descartes Labs, Satellogic, and Umbra.
As Pixxel expands access to planetary intelligence worldwide, he will lead our revenue and go-to-market efforts, bridging the gap between our missions and market growth.
This Republic Day, celebrating India from space!
Captured by our Fireflies, these hyperspectral views of the Sundarbans and the River Ganges highlight ecosystems that are central to regional climate, water systems, and biodiversity.
Built from India, for the world. 🌍
From orbit to Rashtrapati Bhavan! 🇮🇳
Our founder, @awaisahmedna, was invited to the ‘At Home’ Reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan for the 77th Republic Day today. A meaningful moment for all of us at Pixxel, and a reflection of how India’s private space ecosystem is being recognised at the national level.
Proud to be part of a new generation of companies building for India and the world!
@rashtrapatibhvn
One year since the first 3 Fireflies took flight. One year since our dreams soared. One year since a small determined team @PixxelSpace proved what it could do. One year since we built and deployed the highest resolution hyperspectral satellites ever launched.
Here’s to many more audacious dreams and goals!
2025 was a super critical year for Pixxel and we got a lot of things done! Launching and operationalising the world's highest resolution hyperspectral constellation with the Fireflies, upgrading Aurora with lots of new capabilities, winning the contract to build India's national EO constellation and signing many new customers and partners among others. Couldn't be prouder of the @PixxelSpace team. 2026 will be bigger, better and grander in all ways. Let's bring it on! ⚡️
Pixxel received the @ISpA_India Industry Award 2025 for Earth Observation and Geospatial Excellence at the inaugural India International Space Conclave by @DrJitendraSingh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, and Space!
This recognition underscores how our hyperspectral imaging capabilities are enhancing environmental monitoring and paving the way for the next chapter in planetary intelligence. 🌍
Our space sector continues to make us proud!
Congratulations ISRO on the successful launch of India’s heaviest communication satellite, CMS-03.
Powered by our space scientists, it is commendable how our space sector has become synonymous with excellence and innovation. Their successes have furthered national progress and empowered countless lives.

🚀 Delivered. Prepped. Launch-bound.
The final Firefly satellites have arrived at the launch site, marking the culmination of years of engineering, teamwork, and perseverance.
With three satellites already in orbit, this set completes the initial phase of our hyperspectral constellation, each equipped with the world’s highest-resolution 5m hyperspectral cameras fully integrated in-house. 📷
From early bench tests to the last container loading, this moment is a significant milestone for everyone at Pixxel who brought the Fireflies to life!
Next stop: orbit. 🛰️✨
