@GarnettGenuis@DonDavies At international law, the right to invade a foreign country does not depend on whether its government is “legitimate”. Such action can only be in self defence, or if authorized by the UN Security Council. (In other words, Davies is right.)
Spineless, cowardly, and total lack of leadership. Spoken like a war criminal who aligns oneself with the American war criminals bombing Venezuela for its oil.
Night and day contrast to Anita Anand’s cringy non-statement. Mexico has as much at stake in navigating Trump’s chaos as Canada does. Yet they manage to do it while preserving their sovereignty and values.
@AnitaAnandMP Is the Saudi crown prince or the Egyptian dictator democratically elected? Of course not, but that never stopped you from treating them as legitimate. Your grotesque hypocrisy and dishonesty disqualify you from acting as the foreign minister.
in 2002 the US regime orchestrated a coup in Venezuela, and Chavez was kidnapped and taken away by helicopter to be executed by CIA-Mossad agents. But the Venezuelan masses came out onto the streets demanding their president, and quickly overthrew the fascist coup regime and forced Chavez' return. This was all captured in the brilliant documentary "The Revolution Will not be Televised".
Calling someone a Nazi doesn’t mean you think they wear swastikas and believe in a ‘thousand year reich’
It means you believe their politics align with fascist tendencies to eliminate entire groups of people
There are many prominent people in the West who deserve the title
I have some incredible news to share. Today, after 9.5 agonizing months, Mohammed Zaher Ibrahim was released from Israel’s Ofer Prison and into his father’s arms. The Israeli military had no right to take him in the first place, and the family credits the relentless grassroots campaign that kept up the diplomatic pressure to free him. He’s in rough shape, but okay, and on his way to the hospital for treatment. Once he’s discharged, his mom, dad, brother, and sisters will have his favorite meal and a very belated 16th-birthday celebration waiting for him at home. I’ll share more details soon.
Now that Mohammed is free, the family is asking all his supporters to keep fighting for the hundreds of Palestinian children still unjustly trapped in Israeli military prisons.
The family requests privacy for now.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone — lots to be thankful for.
One year ago today, at this exact hour, the so-called “ceasefire” in Lebanon was declared.
Since then Israel has violated the truce more than 10,000 times, killed over 350 Lebanese civilians, abducted dozens, occupied additional land, and now openly threatens a new war.
Would the BBC or any western media consider this newsworthy?
Nazi style execution in broad daylight of unarmed men. This is what genocide looks like. This is what the West is complicit in.

Your regular reminder that Israel has banned the Red Cross from visiting Palestinian prisoners, in direct violation of international law, for over two years.
