@BowtiedNostrich@DOTW_UK How does DOTW enable traffickers? That makes no sense. Refugees will be trying to escape poverty and hardship even if DOTW isn't there to provide healthcare support
📍Dunkirk, France.
People escaping war, torture & persecution are trapped at the French border, forced to live in unsafe, unsanitary conditions. Everyday, their health declines.
Seeking safety is not a crime but border forces treat people like criminals. The UK Government must stop the cruelty ❌
We're proud to be funding @UofGlasgow scientists to use donated samples of tonsils to test vaccines - instead of live animals.
Meet the team behind this innovative project:

Findings from animal studies often do not translate when applied to humans.
That's why we call the animal-free methods that our scientists develop 'human-relevant'. It means they can produce research results that are applicable to people, not lab mice.
This #WorldHumanitarianDay, follow Dr Yehven Zhuk as he performs a surgery 10km from the frontline of the war in Ukraine.
Every day, our colleagues are providing care and support to communities, under difficult circumstances.
Because they are dedicated to the principles of independence, impartiality, and neutrality. Because they want to show people facing crisis that they are not alone. Because they are humanitarians.
She was a mother, too. But Betty never got to keep her babies.
Have you signed our petition for Starbucks to make oat milk the default for mothers like Betty?

‘Why were the Cairngorms feral pigs killed?’
Why didn’t we rescue them, or rehome them, or find another way, a more compassionate way?
Our response to animals should always be kindness first

What is even more concerning is the type of people Warwickshire Police handed this information over to. One of their own officers called the Warwickshire Hunt an Organised Crime Group on national TV. Fox hunts by their very nature are violent organisations.
@mr__fuga@SXodium@peta Dairy cows are killed when their milk production decreases below profitable amounts (often around 5yo), but their lifespan outside of the dairy industry is around 20yrs. Millions of cows are killed because people drink milk, not the other way around
💨 STORM UPDATE 💨
Overnight the remainder of the polytunnel roof has blown off so, devastatingly, we are left with just a shell 😔
We are immensely grateful for everyone's support so far – donations, shares & kind messages 🥰🤗
Pls help if you can 🐑

🙏 WE NEED YOUR HELP 🙏
The storm has ripped the roof off our main polytunnel, where the majority of our sheep shelter. We don't have a quote yet for replacing it but are urgently seeking donations to help cover the cost. Can you donate or share? TY+++ 🐑

⚠️ SANCTUARY LAND APPEAL ⚠️
The lease on our rented land ends in 2032 & we'll need to buy 60 acres for the animals' forever home 🏡
1 sq foot would cost around £2.50. Could you buy even 1 for us, to help secure their future? 🐑
Or share our appeal? 🙏

The article suggests that it is only opposition who believe trailhunting is a smoke screen.
The @BBCNews forget that the hunting community admit it's a smoke screen: https://t.co/7Gl7KhFyDh
“When the police turn up, or they get caught killing a fox and somebody gets footage of it and they end up in court, they just say: ‘Sorry we were following a trail and it was an accident.’
