Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah proposed a climate alliance with neighboring India and China, urging action to protect the fragile Himalayan ecosystem after catastrophic flooding across the region https://t.co/lpfIC8CLWG
I am donating to support those affected by the recent flash floods in Nepal — a disaster that has taken lives and destroyed infrastructure.
This is not about showing up, but about showing solidarity. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps rebuild homes, restore hope, and remind us that we rise stronger when we rise together.
📷 I encourage everyone to join in and give back to the country when it needs us the most.

‘Original’ indeed! 😀 when you translate ‘See You Again’ -> ‘Feri Bhetaula - फेरी भेटौला’
There is popular Nepali movie called ‘Feri Bhetaula’ played by Manisha Koirala (popular Nepali & Bollywood actress). Movie must have inspired hotel owner deeply that he started his venture with the film name? LOL
NEWS: Nepal is in active talks with Starlink to provide internet across the country, the Nepali Foreign Minister told Reuters.
Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal made the statement on his first official trip to China.
He said Nepal is also talking with Huawei. No decision has been made yet.
Nepal would need to change its laws first. Current rules block full foreign ownership of telecom.
Khanal said China did not raise concerns about Starlink operating along its border.
China has previously complained about Starlink at the United Nations.
Nepal shares a long border with China's Tibet region.
STARLINK 🇳🇵 NEPAL ENTRY
@Starlink Director Rebecca Slick Hunter today met with Communication Minister Timilsina— seeking 100% ownership license for launch.
Hunter explained that policy and legal complexities have delayed their permit, emphasizing that Starlink requires 100% ownership of the license to proceed, though they are currently exploring commercial partnerships with local service providers to compensate.
Timilsina responded by assuring the SpaceX delegation that there are no obstacles for Starlink operating in Nepal, provided they navigate the legal process in accordance with the country’s existing telecommunications policies.
@DamonZumbroegel I moved back to my country Nepal last year after 23 years. I am loving it. 150 conversion is easy to take but its adding up now to @154 😅
Nepal Removes FDI Ceiling: No Investment Limit, Zero Minimum for IT, Auto-Approval in 7 Days
The Government of Nepal has officially removed the NPR 500 million (रु 50 करोड) ceiling on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) through a new Nepal Gazette notification (Vol. 75, Part 5, No. 64, Falgun 4, 2082), expanding the Automatic Route (स्वचालित मार्ग) for FDI under the Foreign Investment and Technology Transfer Act, 2075.
Key highlights:
- No maximum investment limit: Any amount of FDI in listed sectors can now receive fast-track automatic approval.
- No investment cap for all Information Technology-based industries.
7 Priority Categories:
- IT & Digital (Tech Parks, Software Development, BPO/KPO, Data Centers, Cloud, Digital Mapping, Web Services)
- Energy (solar, wind, hydro, biogas, biomass & related equipment)
- Agriculture & Forest-based processing (fruits/veg, tea/coffee, herbs, cold storage, furniture, etc.)
- Infrastructure (conference centers, cargo complexes, waste treatment, film city, etc.)
- Tourism & Hospitality (hotels, resorts, adventure & wellness tourism)
- Services (hospitals, diagnostic centers, construction equipment rental, logistics, advertising, etc.)
- Manufacturing & Production (food processing, textiles, electronics, plastics, cement, steel, pharmaceuticals, etc.)
How the Automatic Route works:
Investors submit an online application with company details, investment amount, sector info, and required documents. If all criteria are met, the system issues an approval certificate via email within 7 working days. After approval, investors verify foreign currency sources with Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
You can load up on chips from NVIDIA, buy the best hardware money can buy, and even run Alpamayo, the system they just launched designed to reason, plan, and simulate driving decisions in controlled environments with synthetic data.
BUT, if you don’t have real world data, none of that will matter.
From my point of view as an investor and someone who actually understands the product, solving true autonomy is won on real streets, with real people, real weather, real chaos, and real edge cases you can’t fake. You can’t get this from simulations alone. You have to have millions of cars driving every single day, learning continuously, and feeding that knowledge back into one system.
THIS is the difference with Tesla.
Tesla is training their AI on reality. Every weird intersection, every bad driver, every unexpected moment, every disengagement. This is the data that allows your technology to chase that last 99.999999X%! And this tech is already built into every Tesla from day one, designed to scale, to improve, and to compound exponentially over time.
This is why I stay confident as an investor, despite what the market is implying today.
Bc sure chips can be bought, models can be copied, and “wow” presentations can be given.
But the reality is, in order to build the SAFEST autonomous vehicle on the road, a massive real world fleet, learning together, and improving every mile is needed, which every automaker is missing today.
Most people focus on headlines.
I focus on fundamentals.
And when you lock in on what’s really important, the long term picture becomes very clear.
I firmly believe Tesla is going to win the race of solving autonomy and it will be a VERY difficult road to catch up to Tesla.
