If sorting and delivering your recyclables to a nearby collection location were a thing, and doing so rewarded you through local discounts, would you do it?
If you got a buck or two this isn’t an ad, just an ask for help for a friend and her cancer bills because the US healthcare system fucking sucks and Simone is a sweet lady https://t.co/dckxyC6Ywi
@bvandgrift I have had panic attacks my whole life and didn’t know what they were until I was 25. Sometimes I couldn’t swallow. Sometimes I was outside of my body. Now when I feel one brewing, I run. Really hard. It makes my brain shut up.

Unexpectedly went viral last night from a speech that shows political corruption in our state Senate happening *in real time* and explains why NC hasn’t had a budget in two years.
The kicker: “We’ll call a vote at the right time. I hope you’ll miss it.”
@jazzy33ca I have had other designers steal my work. Now that’s an example of an asshole and specific to design. And I should have called that out publicly but I didn’t.
@jazzy33ca The same reasons any leader is an asshole. Design leaders are there specifically to be assholes in the right circumstances. And it’s important to learn how to be good at that in those moments. I don’t think this is unique to design.
@jazzy33ca In my experience as a designer, when a design leader has been an asshole to me, it was because they were folding up like a beach chair when it mattered most. Not because they were abusive to the teams or me.
@jazzy33ca Defending a design direction offered by the design team despite executive or external pressure to materially change it. Or, immediately addressing aggressive behavior within the team / firing repeat offenders even if they are high performers or co-founders.
