Bystander CPR saves lives.

In the event of a cardiac emergency, Dial 9-1-1 and administer hands-only CPR along with an AED, if available.

My annual January depression usually begins about five minutes after the final Rose Bowl whistle and the cozy cocoon of the holidays gives way to the reality of life. Please look out for one another.

trailblazer
noun

1. a person who blazes a trail for others to follow through unsettled country or wilderness; pathfinder.

2. Barbara Walters

[Kareem Abdul-Jabbar @kaj33]

Barbara Walters never flinched when questioning the world’s most powerful people. She held them accountable. She cared about the truth and she made us care too. Fortunately, she inspired many other journalists to be just as unrelenting. We are all better off because of her.

@melissalmay The church did all that was required to leave the denomination. The annual conference delegation disagreed. The pastor decided that he wasn’t going to play around anymore and asked thee congregation to support filing a lawsuit. So the conference went to the mattresses.

People remember “the needs of many outweighs the needs of the one” but forget that Star Trek also said “the needs of the one outweighs the needs of the many.” These idea are not at odds, but compliment each other. We stand together for the individual as a group, and vice versa.

In my opinion about part of this story, Land Acknowledgements in North America are important and educational for people of any age. We are simply and literally acknowledging that this land was inhabited by others before Europeans arrived on these shores. https://t.co/nUon8jZP87

Could a UMC person help me understand what the nature of the illegal congregational vote was? What was the subject at hand? (What does this all really boil down to?)

[United Methodist News @UMNS]

Bishop Gary Mueller of @arkansasumc just announced that after what the conference says is an illegal congregational vote, the conference is taking over the property of First UMC in Jonesboro and suspending its senior pastor. https://t.co/jfp7cmPyGW
