Dear @MBTA : I have been sitting on a broken red line train for 40’. How is this a daily occurrence? How can you possibly be so bad at transporting people. This is a disgrace.
Hey @GeneticsSociety : it's 2023. most biopharma have genetics groups, we attend your meetings every year. maybe have your primary positions field reflect some jobs that aren't in academia.
Excited to share our HLA-pQTL study from @pfizer with @xinlisea- we show that disease-associated HLA alleles exert widespread trans effects on plasma protein expression using data from @uk_biobank@OlinkProteomics- 45K individuals, 2940 proteins!

Full summary statistics for our UKB-PPP GWAS of 1,463 circulating proteins are now available at https://t.co/EgvlMtbC4u
This includes full cohort (n=52,363), discovery (n=34,557), & African ancestry (n=931) analyses. More subpopulations (AMR, CSA, MID, EAS) available next week.
Excited to see that our UKB exome paper is out in @CellGenomics today. This was a huge team effort from four institutions. thanks to @konradjk, @mattsolomonson, @HeidiRehm, @dalygene, @bmneale and many others for pushing this over the finish line.
Do you have a training in and a passion for human #Genetics ? Would you like to apply #genetics to drug discovery? Great opportunity at @pfizer in the Inflammation and Immunology group for a geneticist - come work with us!

@erikolsonn @memmabrain @RepSwalwell I hope that @RepSwalwell realizes we are all going to get our grandmas to send him mail so in the hopes we get to meet him.
Systems Immunology is growing at Pfizer! Interested in discovering new medicines using computational approaches in tight collaboration with drug discovery labs? Apply below. I am happy to answer any questions. https://t.co/KnAIqXg0AH
@cristenw Wait, so what if you were just coming for a few days, say for a funeral? would you possibly still get selected for random testing and maybe have to miss that?
@Eric_Fauman@nickshrine@mesuturkiye@LouiseVwain@Martin_Tobin In Cystic Fibrosis, %predicted FEV1 is calculated (used clinically but relevant for genetic modifier studies). there are multiple equations, but I think they all use, age, sex, and some measure body size (e.g. height). strange not to do the same for FVC in population genetics.
@cristenw this is a really illustrative graphic @cristenw. I also wonder in the other 2/3 deaths in middle-aged people, how many were due to delay and/or lack of access to routine care b/c COVID? probably much harder to track accurately, but guessing it's a substantial chunk.
@doctorveera@Eric_Fauman More importantly, I think we also need to require a recording of @Eric_Fauman singing each Manhattan plots' theme song. can we add audio files to tweeted imaged?
