This week we had our largest ever extraction from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch: 11,353 kg of plastic out of the ocean for good.
As we transition to System 03, we see that increasing system size leads to bigger catches.

CMAST bids farewell to its 2022 class of Semester@CMAST students. Best of luck to these future scientists as they continue their education and research. At least 6 of the 15 students will stay through the summer to carry on with their research and conservation projects.
