Of late, few complaints raised by amazon gift card users have been brought to my attention. It is indeed concerning to realise that the expired gift card balance of amazon users would be lost into dormant accounts. Even my office experienced this issue of lost balances from expired gift cards. The hard-earned money of many users remains tied up and ultimately vanishes without any recourse.

Over 295 million Indians actively use e-commerce platforms, with 1 billion+ gift cards purchased on Amazon India alone.

As per RBI guidelines on Prepaid Payment Instruments, all PPIs must have a minimum validity of one year. If inactive for a year, the account should be deactivated only after prior notice, with the balance refunded to the source or transferred to a KYC-linked bank account.

I urge platforms to ensure transparency and fairness to protect consumers from unnecessary losses.

ASM/GSM framework already achieved the objective of brining stocks down by 30-50%.

This kind of framework does not exit anywhere in the world .

Pls look into the matter , if you do this you will earn more STT , GST and more capital gain .

I booked 2 tickets for my mother in law (senior citizen) in 3 AC. Total cost was ₹1565. This included UPI transaction charges as well.

We cancelled her ticket and we got back ₹1130. This means we spent ₹430 (27% of the paid value even though we are not travelling)

Now, why am I sharing this? This is why.

- Her ticket will eventually be bought by someone else, who also pays ₹1565 or maybe much much more in Tatkal.
- Two People who are in RAC position also pay the FULL amount but share their seat with someone else.
- The Cancellation Charge is too High which becomes a burden for Tax Paying Citizens.

I request @AshwiniVaishnaw ji to consider the following:

- Please bring back Senior Citizen Subsidy. It really would acknowledge their contribution.
- Please reduce the cancellation charges, since you anyway recover the amount from the WL/RAC passengers. It should not be more than 10% of the cost paid (>24 hours before departure).
- We pay transaction charges of ₹20 - ₹30 for every ticket we buy using UPI. This needs to be much lower & this does not get refunded back.
- For RAC passengers, it is unfair to pay the full amount and yet share the seat with another passenger. Please refund the extra amount back to them, since you can use the technology to do that.

If you do the above, you do not lose much, but you stand to gain respect and blessings of Crores of Indians whose money goes to waste.

For the past 14 years, I have been working internationally with reputable Spanish companies across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Currently, I am residing in the United Kingdom.

About My Work:
I am a Mechanical Engineer working as a Commissioning Engineer in the Renewable Energy sector, particularly in Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants. We recently completed a WTE plant in Scotland, which is now operational. Additionally, we have two ongoing projects in London and Birmingham in the UK, along with several others worldwide.
I am keen to share my ideas for initiating WTE plants in Andhra Pradesh. I had previously shared this concept with several top leaders in Janasena before the elections, but you announce your own commitment to WTE plants, a much-needed initiative. I am confident that this idea will be successful, as Europe is now primarily focused on renewable energy projects.
Currently, the UK has 53 WTE plants in operation and over 50 more under construction which is 13 times smaller country comparing with India. I am certain that implementing such plants in Andhra Pradesh would place the state at the forefront of renewable energy in India.

Although I had planned to visit India to discuss these plans in person, my current project commitments prevent me from traveling at this time. I am reaching out through twitter as I believe that this is the right time to move forward and I can no longer rely on anyone to pass the message.
I would be honoured to be part of this initiative and assist in turning this vision into a reality. Implementing WTE plants will significantly improve waste management and provide a sustainable solution for landfill issues ( Dump yards) , a matter you've addressed in numerous meetings.

About My Current Company:
I work with a renowned Spanish company with a global presence. In India, the company started operations in 2006 and currently has nine projects, including operational wind farms in south of India, fully owned by the company. We are also involved in water treatment and supply projects in the country and are building a new 412 MW photovoltaic project in Rajasthan, set to commission by 2025 and many more.
